Installed the Kia HomeLink mirror and the front DashCamX this morning.
I did not install the rear camera, that's a bit more work and it's already too hot to be outside.
I married both 12+ wires in the Kia harness to make 1 wire and cut about 3' out of the harness length. I made a + and - wiretap on the truck harness to power the mirror.
Since I was not reconnecting the 16pin connector back into a Ford mirror, I was able to tuck the DashCamX harness adapter under the headliner. The lead for the front dashcam is long enough to go under the windshield plastic cover on the truck. The lead for the rear camera is under the headliner, alongside the overhead console.
The only wires showing are the two cables for the dash cam and one for the mirror. I was able to use the existing slots in the plastic cover without having to modify the cover.
It is very clean and looks oem. The only thing I do not like about the DashCamX install is that the power adapter harness normally sits behind the mirror and looks unsightly. If you are an OCD person, that drives you nuts.
Pic is sketchy from the glare, but you get the idea.
