What is strange is that I have been in EAP since August 2021 and was able to get Bluecruise activated by my dealer on my Job 1 truck with only 9 days in the shop :mad: but the Ford EAP page still shows Bluecruise with no active survey, product not active.

My situation is a little more complicated. Ford has enabled 2.5.1 for my truck but the update keeps failing. I reached out to Ford and asked why it is failing. They said it looks like the battery isn't strong enough and recommended I take it to the dealership. Dealership checked the battery and said it was fine. Update still fails and Ford hasn't responded to me anymore. It is one thing when new technology doesn't work as planned, that I can understand. The poor services is totally inexcusable. The dealership should have reached out to Ford to further troubleshoot and Ford needs to be more responsive.

99% sure a new battery would fix you in a heartbeat. I was stuck in the restart loop. Literally minutes after I changed my battery the install completed successfully

I had to go to my dealership to have them install the updated. They told me that they may not be able to do the updated if I did not have the correct revision of several modules. If they were all correct then they would start the updated and if not they would have to order the correct ones. That could take the unknown amount of time due to the supply issues.

Now if all modules had the correct revisions they would be able to start the update process. All the modules would have to be updated in a very specific order or the truck would be out of commission for quite a while.

Thankfully I had all the correct revisions of the modules and my update took one day. It couldn't come at a sooner time as I had a 1000 Mile Road Trip that I love using it on!

Update on my situation, Ford finally got back to me and I spoke with the person to runs the Early Access Program and they organized to have a Ford technician come to my dealership and inspect my truck further. The technician finished his work today and asked the dealership to reprogram 4 modules: IPMA, CMR, CCM and PSCM. He also told the dealership that he will provide more information tomorrow morning regarding what the actual problem is. Part of me doesn't like that this appears to be more serious than just a battery and part of me is glad that Ford is taking it more serious. BTW, previously I signed up for their Advanced Analytics program. I was hoping they might be more willing to help given I was letting them know *everything* about my truck usage.

@Jesse-Infotainment - thought you might find this interesting.

@Jesse-Infotainment here is my vin:

Dealership gave me back my truck today. They re-flashed all those modules but Ford still hasn’t figured out why OTA updates aren’t working.

Im guessing BlueCruise Isnt working? They didnt update the CMR, Gateway or APIM.

They actually didnt do much of anything outside the IPMA update that took them a few tries. The CCM look missed, PSCM looks to be missed. The only way to get those done now is PMI them.

On top here are what is in FDRS for the truck

I believe the folks that got BC OTA are up to and stopped at 2.5.3? At least mine did. There was no vote option for 2.5.3 so I picked 2.5.2

Yeah the truck won’t upgrade to 2.5.2 so no blue cruise. Not surprised to hear they didn’t actually upgrade all the modules (even though they claimed to). My dealership has gotten something wrong almost every time I’ve brought the truck in. Supposedly the technician from Ford is working with engineering to diagnose the issue and I should hear back from them soon.

@YzermanTopShelf

No,You will not have blue cruise as it stands now

They still need One gate way update and that should get you there. Also the APIM

My last OTA was 1.7.1, the dealership has had it 3 days now to catch up on update and load blue cruise, they called this AM and told me that one of my modules was bad that’s why I was not getting updates at home and they were having trouble loading them. They said 1 was being overnighted from Detroit should have it going Monday, fingers crossed.
