Issues with FordPass

I am facing a weird issue with my FP in UAE. Appreciate anyone who can chime in. We recently got FP here in UAE. The modem shows LTE for a while and FP works great. Then suddenly moves to 3G and FP stops working. Tried resetting TCU GMW on Forscan. That didn’t help. Master reset on sync worked and modem moved to LTE and then back to 3G in a day or 2. The truck has no pending updates for TCU, GWM, and APIM (unless there has been a new update, anyone who has FDRS access, I am happy to send my VIN to check). Added some diagnostics from Sync if that can help please.

Check for low battery voltage. Can cause a wide variety of issues.

21 PB have had a batch of bad OEM batteries. One of the best things you can do is just replace the set with quality aftermarket batteries. I have Duralast Platinum H7 from Autozone. At this point your factory battery is getting long in the tooth.

Grab some peace of mind and swap them out. Remember to do a BMS reset after. If you only do a lot of short haul trips, keep it on a battery tender to protect the investment. I've had good luck with the NOCO Genius 10 that has a setting to charge AGM, std. 12V or Li.

I have a PL2320 and I will get the battery charged up and circle back with results.

Sounds like a phone reception issue and not a Ford Pass issue

Folks, small update here and potentially can replicate the issue now. I think I can rule out the reception and battery SOC.

So this evening I tried to reset my GWM and TCU when everything was working fine. Guess what? If I reset GWM first and then TCU, the LTE drops to 3G and FP stops working. Tried it a few times and same results every time.

So there is some issue with the configuration either on the TCU or the GWM?

So your connection also drops from LTE to 3G randomly and a reset is the only way to bring it back to LTE?

yes its drops rvery 24 hours
every 24 hours i have to reset fordpass from screen to work again
