It's been a while since I used it, and several OTA updates since, but now I can't find the trailer lights check routine on my IPC trailer menu (it would cycle through all of the lights several times to allow visually checking operation).

I know it's been removed from the FordPass app, has it been removed from the IPC, too, or am I just not looking in the right place?

I do find a display that says brake and turn are good, but it doesn't cycle through operation so I can verify with my own eyes looking at the back of the trailer.

I don't think so but I'll check again next time I connect a trailer. You're talking about the IPC menu, not the 12" display, correct?

Look on center sync screen, but they do have trailer light check returning in the app soon according to the beta screenshots.

This is a hot button issue for me:
-Trailer light check has never worked for me when launched from the Sync screen (Features -> Towing -> light check); it always results in “see dealer if condition persists”.
-But it DOES work (sort of) if launched from the FordPass app. I can launch the light check, but there’s no Stop button to end the test, so I just let it run the prescribed number of times.
- So far I have been able to avoid the forced upgrade of the app on my iPhone (thankfully).

I really hope Ford gets its act together one of these days. These seem like simple things to address, and yet they cause its customers a fair amount of aggravation.

It always worked fine for me, both from the old FordPass and the dashboard.

Like I mentioned, it's been a while since I used it, I thought it had been from the IPC menu but that's probably a failing of my memory - I'll try to check it on the SYNC menu later today - assuming I'll find it as suggested above, I'll be happy. I don't really care if it makes it back to FordPass, the dashboard approach is generally more convenient for me (I very rarely use the FP app for anything, IMO it's not very user friendly).

I have 3 trailers set up on my truck, 2 different length utility trailers and my RV. The repeating-cycle lights check is great for ensuring all of my lights are working and that all of the separate LEDs in each light are still good.

I have the 7+4 pin OE connector on my rear bumper for the utility trailers (one with brakes, one without) and a 7+12 pin connector in my bed for the 5th-wheel RV with its Ford Accessory TPMS and rear cam.

Overall, I'm extremely happy with the towing features of my F150, from the fully powered TT mirrors, integrated TBC, to the integrated trailer TPMS & rear-view cam, and this lights-check routine, it's far and away the best trailer-towing vehicle I've ever owned.
