Under normal circumstances I would say no. But a friend of mine has a 2020 Ranger and she needed to have the dealer look at something underneath I told her to have the dealer look at the muffler at the same time as she has the same staining on her Muffler coming out of both front and back. The dealer said there are actually weep holes in the muffler to drain moisture. Never heard of such a thing but I suppose it's possible since that's usually where they rust through first.

Usually the first time I get under my vehicles, I check to see how the muffler sits and drill a 1/8 inch hole at the lowest point. This allows the water to drain out. My last 3 trucks had 356,000km, 320,000km and 240,000km on the factory installed mufflers. A Nissan Frontier and 2 F150's.

Hello! Please send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of the Ford dealer you are working with. I'd be happy to look into this for you. Thanks!
