Thats what she said?you trying to take somebody's unwanted unit lol?
Some people will just buy a truck off the Granger lot. If you do that, they will apply your deposit to that truck. A friend of mine transferred his deposit to an order for a Ram Tungsten. If you stay with their dealerships you won't lose it.What about those non-refundable deposits though....
i wish i had more info on my truck but i believe it was built 1/22 but didnt get to the dealer til 7/22 haha i mean, it wasnt rusted out and seems to work just fine. i get what you're saying though. i'd be skeptical. There will be a number of Job 1 builds that refuse delivery. Can't say I blame them. Something about a truck that was built in January and gets delivered in July that doesn't scream confidence. I think that there have already been more March builds that have been delivered than January. Almost all of the stickers I am seeing a dealers are late February or March blend dates. Whatever the QC hold is, many people will want nothing of it. Not to mention, they probably moved on to another truck, maybe even a late Job 1 or Job 2 F-150.
I don't disagree. When you buy off the lot, I think that there are lots of times the trucks sit on the lot and in shipment for periods of time that long. Difference is on dealer orders nobody was waiting on it and there wasn't an admitted to quality control issue that was the source of the delay. On a lot bought truck, there might be a QC issue, but you likely aren't aware of it. All of these people who ordered these trucks currently in purgatory know the delay is due to a quality issue and they know that the trucks being built now do not have it. It is not a formula to stay the course, especially when many of the re-order crowd have already been scheduled and some even built! You can get your truck faster not waiting for the one sitting at the Michigan Speedway.i wish i had more info on my truck but i believe it was built 1/22 but didnt get to the dealer til 7/22 haha i mean, it wasnt rusted out and seems to work just fine. i get what you're saying though. i'd be skeptical.
In case anyone is interested....Granger is not agreeable to refunding deposits or applying the deposit to the purchase of an extended warranty plan instead if an in stock truck is purchased somewhere else. Yes, before anyone replies, I know I agreed to the non-refundable part so no need to remind me of that. What about those non-refundable deposits though....
Most dealers will just bring your vehicle in anyways and sell it on their lot.Can you cancel prior to it going into production and a VIN issued ?
Heard of a few KC trucks being delivered with hail damage. Repair work still visible on horizontal surfaces, especially roofs. If yours was stored outside mid March, check them out carefully before taking delivery. In case anyone is interested....Granger is not agreeable to refunding deposits or applying the deposit to the purchase of an extended warranty plan instead if an in stock truck is purchased somewhere else. I get that this fiasco isn't Granger's fault. Ford's inability to produce and ship trucks in a reasonable timeframe is beyond annoying and the reports of possible hail damage for some of those built in KC along with the QC hold issues doesn't inspire confidence in the truck whenever it eventually gets delivered.
