Is a 36 gallon tank available on a 5.5 bed with the Powerboost?

Sounds to me like this is a first world problem that really isn't a problem.

I lived in a country where the entire family goes to town on a single scooter and that beats walking.

As far as my 30.6 gal fuel tank goes, I have zero envy about what anyone else has.

I was content with the 26 gal fuel tank in my 2020 as well.

Never once have I said "This trip is going to be a disaster because I do not have the largest fuel tank available."

Is the real issue that you are unhappy because I am happy?
My truck only came with the 26 gallon tank so I would have liked having the additional 10 gallons of storage space in the larger tank and the ability to have a range between fill ups of 900+ miles for when refueling is not available. I am not looking for how far I can travel in one sitting but more the combine time the truck can run and not need to be filled.

+1.

That additional ~130 miles at constant highway speeds from a 36 gallon tank versus a 30.6 gallon tank could be the difference between being able to re-fuel in a state with a substantially lower price for fuel.

At the end of the day, if Ford wants to push the PB powertrain, they need to make it unequivocally give up nothing to a ICE only powertrain. If they retained the 36 gallon fuel tank, range wouldn't even be a debate.

The same applies to EVs. If you want to overcome the range anxiety and charging infrastructure hurdles, you need to give me an EV pickup that can go 1500 miles unloaded (which is 500 miles loaded) on a single charge at the same price.

When you're able to do more and have no real drawbacks, you'll shut the critics up. Ford's not at that point yet.

Another 10 gallons of fuel in the little diesel engine at highway speeds would give me 250 to 300 miles more even running at 80 mph.

It is a moot point in 2024 since the 36 gal tank is standard except for the PB.

I have never owned a vehicle that was 100% the way I would have built it and I'm betting none of have either.

If the 36 gal tank was a must have for me, I would not have bought the PB. Since the 7.2kw generator was a must have and the PB was the only way to get it, I bought the PB.

Those of you with the 23 gal tank have three choices. Keep what you have, buy and install the larger tank or buy a truck with the larger 36 gal tank.

What some of you just can't accept is that one size does not fit all. Many F150 owners don't care what size tank they have, those that do care, made sure the truck they bought had the tank they wanted.

...Theres a fourth option: Go online and complain about the size fuel tank that your truck has that you bought of your own free will.

Now we all like to complain. I bought a truck with a 65k sticker price that has no wireless phone charger or garage door opener. If I wanted those things bad enough, I would have been stupid and spent an extra 10k to get them.
