Hello everyone, Brandon here from Rockingham NC. Just picked up my 2023 XLT Heritage Edition, 5.0, FX4 on Friday. Said goodbye to a 2019 Ranger Lariat. Looking forward to getting to know more about my new truck and you F-150 people.

Hi all,

I'm down in South FL and have always like Ford trucks. As I've gotten older and we want to do more around the house, it's just not practical to have something other than a pickup truck. Been looking at some Platinum F-150s in my area but it's looking more & more like we're going to order a 2024 to my liking. It's frustrating to settle for something on the lot that has more features than I care for while lacking things that it should have, so I'd rather just have it my way.

One thing I wish this site had is a sticky thread with all the acronyms that are used on this site. I can figure out most of them depending on context or a Google serach but some have me a little perplexed.

Recently acquired a 2023 F-150 Lariat Sport with the 3.5L EB in Hot Pepper.

Funny story for ya, I've been driving Hondas for the last couple decades, but been wanting a truck for many years. My last 2016 CR-V EX was amazing, served me exceptionally well, just some things I can't get from the hardware store into a CR-V. Like I need to do some deck repairs, can't get 10' planks in there.. had my heart set on a new Ridgeline. We don't tow anything (yet ?) and I needed a very comfortable ride for trips to Colorado. Then we added 2 new Aussies to the pack, and my wife felt there wasn't enough back seat for 2 Aussies, a Border Collie and a 11yo kid, she gave the order to find something bigger; so I did!
All my other cars were always tri-coat whites, so that's what I was instinctively defaulting to for this one. It's kind of our thing? We had 2 pearl white Hondas, and have a pearl white 2019 Mazda Miata GT-S lol. The neighborhood knows us as "the house with all the white cars". I grow a LOT of hot peppers at home, so when I found this truck, I really felt like it was calling my name, despite not being white. Brought it home same day.
I'll take my daughter to school in the Miata (soft top, very few buttons, 6-speed manual), then get in the Lariat and its like piloting the starship Enterprise! So many frigging buttons you guys seriously omg I think I have them all figured out, but still push the wrong ones constantly lol last night I couldn't get the tailgate to release from the cab, I was pushing the bed light button ??‍ just got out and did it manually, but it did explain why the lights were still on after we had gone inside. Opps

From the land up above, Montreal to be precise, just got my first time F150 but not first time Ford. I’ve had over the years 9 Mustangs and about 7 Fords, the latest being this Oxford white 2021 F150 XLT FX4 2.7L short bed which i already started modding and probably never will be finished.

Coming here from the Ranger5g forums. I'm 6'5" and the last trip down to the Louisiana gulf coast to see my son, DIL, and granddaughter, the lack of legroom in my 2019 Ranger finally got to me.... being 55 y/o doesn't help either. I sent my build for a Carbonized Gray 24 F150 XL 4x4 5.0 RCSB 101 High to Granger a couple days ago, but Chip told me the "XL" order system has been down all week, but will get back to me when it's working. Had an 04 L in Sonic Blue....I really miss my Lightning. I thought about buying another L, but instead decided on a new F150.

I'm a retired USAF medic, 8 yrs as a dental assistant and 14 as a dental lab tech. After HS, I went to a local tech school/community college for welding, did that for a few years, then joined the AF. After I retired, I was a vol FF and an EMT-B before I went to the Colorado School of Trades for gunsmithing. Due to a heart condition and my cardiologists recommendation I chose to fully retire and have been "living the dream" since 2014.

Long time lurker.

Ive said this in the 2024 waiting post but I’ll say it again. This forum is a wealth of knowledge and savings. Namely the Granger deal!

I’ve had a wide variety of vehicles but with both age and needing more towing capacity, I’ve pulled the trigger on a 2024 fully loaded Lariat SCSB. I’m coming from a 2020 JLUR that was built up to take on the toughest trails. But the time has come to make the comfortable switch and I’m really excited!

My name is RJ. I have been lurking around for the past two months, ever since I picked up a 2021 XLT at the end of September. It was basically new, with only 8500 mi on it. The technology on the truck is amazing and I have had no problems with it. The truck is a late 21 with a build date in October.
I have enjoyed reading the posts and getting some great ideas of how to setup, hack and modify it. I am looking forward to maybe contributing and learning from all the experts on this forum.
