Hey folks! I have a feeling I'll be asking lots of questions here, so I figured I'd say hello.

I've been creeping the forum for a while as I learn about the F-150, coming from GM I was pretty oblivious.

SO I'm picking up my first Ford on Monday. It's a 2022 Lariat FX4 with the 5.0. Unfortunately it has the 3.31 gearing, which I have read a lot of back and forth about, but it isn't a race car and I do drive lots of highway. She seems pretty peppy to me. Once I throw 33's on I don't see it being any worse than my 2014 5.3 6 speed I've driven to 361,000 km with 33's. There was so much traffic in the city I had no chance of even opening up the 5.0 all the way on my test drive. Seemed pretty damn fast to me. Limited options had me settling for the 3.31. They have good deals on right now that I couldn't pass up. Plus 4WD auto was a necessity. Otherwise I could have grabbed a 5.0 xlt with 3.73.

Anyway, I have a few questions.

I want to level it and was wanting to go with Bilstein 5100's for a level. What are you guys running or what do you suggest?

Seems there are mixed opinions on catch cans. I had one on my GMC, but it sounds like they aren't really needed on the 5.0?

I could ask generic questions about exhaust but there are enough videos out there for that. I want to hear that coyote growl.

Have had a new 2021 F-150 (2.7 eco boost) for 13 months now, and am getting around to a couple of mods, but this vehicle is WAY different from my last new vehicle 15 years ago! Hello from Washington!

Got a 2021 XLT 2.7 EB earlier this year. Love this truck! Only problem I had was rough shifting in the lower gears, particularly 3-4. Dealer tightened up the shift rod/linkage and it has been good since. Upgrades so far are:

That looks like an amazing Carbonized Gray. I, too, enjoy the Cabonized Gray!

Greetings, All!

I hail from the Southwest, and when I bought my 2020 F150 XLT I proclaimed it was my final upgrade. The gods were laughing as I went in to sign for a 22 F150 XLT... why the upgrade (especially with how the market is now)?

I didn't know what i needed, so my new truck has the 302A (love that dual climate and LEDs are now included), 360 degree camera, tow package (not Max Tow but I do not push my truck), and bed utility package. Have already learned a few things by wandering around, and plan to continue doing so.

THIS TIME.... it is my final upgrade

New here. Just picked up a 2022 F-150 Tremor yesterday as a new daily. Traded in my 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. So glad I did. Never felt comfortable driving it on the highway. Hoping to add a few things in the future.

Rob here from W TN. Have not ordered yet but this site has already helped me decide what not to get. Will be replacing a low mileage 2014 Limited when I tell the war dept. I can afford it. Would love to get another Limited but my income hasn't gone up 50% in the last 7 years like the price of a new Limited. It can't be had with a 5.0 so it's off my radar anyhow. Cheers!

Holas! New (just over a week) to a 2022 F-150 Lariat 3.5 PB , but not my first Ford. Coming from a 2020 Ranger Lariat FX4, but I found the size just wasn't enough for me in the long run. No complaints there, other than size.

That said, I'm really loving the F-150! Such a step up in overall features, tech, and comfort. Torque for days compared to the Ranger..

Already got the mod bug - added fender liners, shorter antenna, Bak Revolver X4S, Husky bed mat, tinted front windshield (dealer tinted side windows already), and a OBD adapter for FORScan.

Hello all! From the Northern Twin Cities area in MN. Ordered a ‘21 Velocity Blue Lariat 4x4 in Sept ‘21 and ended up recieving a Antimatter Blue ‘22 on Dec 23rd ?

Loving the truck thus far. Starting to get the itch to do some mild performance mods as well as some exterior mods. To date I have ‘t really done anything crazy. Added a drain valve to the oil pan, installed the Ford all weather mats, installed Ford front and read mud flaps with PPF behind them, installed a Duraliner in the bed, and finally a Tyger soft tonneau cover.

Just recently bought LED bed lights and the harnesses and switch to install them. Also picked up a OBD adaptor to allow the use of Forscan to enable them. Still waiting on everything to show up.

Looking to install the Raptor style grill next along with a custom oil catch can setup I’m building and a custom exhaust I’m designing. Next up will be a intake I’ll design and probably some headers. Nothing too crazy. Just want to open up the flow on things to help remove some restrictions.

I’m quite the gearhead though. Wnjoy designing and building stuff. This truck was to replace my rusting out ‘05 Expedition. My other cars are a ‘98 SVT Contour custom built with a Noble inspired turbo 3L Duratec, ‘85 Chevy Camaro (first car) fully built ‘69 350 with a TH350 and ‘97 TransAm interior, and a 2018 Audi S6 as my DD. I also help maintain my wife’s ‘19 Audi A5 and my Dad’s ‘06 Mustang GT.

Look forward to learning, sharing, and helping out on the forums.

Hi all. I'm a new old member on this forum. I bought a 2021 Lariat Powerboost in March 2021 and I loved that truck. I was pretty active on here and enjoyed being engaged with you all during my wait for the special order I placed with my local dealer here in Washington State.

After a series of unfortunate events that led to a downward spiral of poor life decisions, I sold my truck in August (albeit for a very lucrative price). But fast forward 5 months and here I am again: Missing my truck dearly, and checking this forum multiple times a day after ordering a 2023 Platinum Powerboost from Granger this past week.

I'm looking forward to my time here with the rest of you guys. These are such great vehicles to drive. I can't wait to get my hands on another one. Take care all!

Hey all. I don't think I ever introduced myself. So, the name's Brian. I'm in the horrible yet delightful state of NY. I'm a vet and I like hamburgers.

I currently have a 21 XLT, but the story on how I got there actually starts with my 19 Special Edition that I had planned on keeping for like 10 years (or more). I had made some comments about some of the cool upgrades of the 21's (American Flag on the inner "C" clamps, the Detroit map, etc). All inconsequential stuff, but cool nonetheless. Anywho, my GM ordered a (near) replica and lowered my payment so here I am.

Once I found out these trucks were legos, I started adding some niceties to my 19. I had started with a heated raptor steering wheel and lighted vanity mirrors. Digital Dash (also Lariat) Lariat seats were going to come eventually as well...the rear cupholder is choice. Honestly, I probably would've ended up doing factory Lariat HID's too. I LOVED my Alpharex, but I really prefer OEM or OEM+ feel/look. The 10's under the seat were able to bring me back to my 20's, but were low key enough to pick the kidos up from school or go on a date night with the wife without appearing to be an unscrupulous character.

So, my 21 is missing the rear slider and the 36gallon tank, so I ordered a 23. It's scheduled to be built on the 1/16 (in production now). I upgraded to BAP because I was gonna just grab a Raptor rear bumper and dual exhaust ANYWAY. Might as well let Ford do it. . Little upset that I couldn't get my color choice, but I'm cool with grey. My subs didn't go into this current truck (cuz 2 weeks in, I knew it was temporary), but it'll make it's way into the new one. Anything to feel young again, amirite lol.

My other car is a Lexus LS400 that has way too much money into it and only gets noticed by small statured men. But, it's a hobby. Anywho, thanks for having me.

Hi there, I recently traded in my 2019 Raptor w/ 72k miles for a 2021 Limited w/ 10k miles! The truck is beautiful and I'm loving it so far. It is an early 2022 build (4/25/22) with the Powerboost, interior work surface, max recline, Retrax Pro XR tonneau cover, and factory spray-in bedliner. The truck came with a puck spacer on the front for a level and 35" Toyo AT3s mounted on Method 18s and Husky rear wheel well liners.

So far, I've upgraded the cluster to a 12in digital. Love this cluster.

Added the console and removed the jump seat. Changed the shifter from column to console/floor shifter.

Attempted to add the rain sensers but was sent the wrong turn signal arm. Also, could not figure out where the wires were supposed to connect. I got no support from the vender so sent it back.

Currently trying to upgrade the Sync 4 display from 8" to 12". I have the screen and all the trim pieces as well as an APIM for the 12" display. Can't get the system to power up when connected to the truck. Still working on this project.

I look forward to sharing information with everyone.
