Hi everyone - first time F-150 owner, just bought this 2024 3.5 EB 4WD a couple weeks back. In the market for a topper / cap / camper shell. Coming from a Honda Ridgeline with an ARE Z topper. Looking forward to learning and eventually contributing to this forum! -Steve

New here.

After my 2011 F150 EB developed some issues, primarily exhaust manifolds and cam phasers, I decided it was time to move on. I looked at new F150s, Lightnings, Sierra 1500s and Tundras, before deciding to buy a lightly used F150.

I found this 2021 Lead Foot XLT 302A Sport with Pano roof and Max Tow package, with ~ 70,000km, basically all that I was looking for ... at around half the price of new. After a couple of weeks of ownership, I love the truck and am quite happy with the decision.

I have been looking at some Forscan upgrades, but will keep the truck pretty much stock.

Glad to be here.

Hello from south-western PA. I purchased a 2021 F-150 Lariat almost a year ago and it’s a big difference from the 20+ years of Superduty's. It’s more irritating than my past trucks with the dash lights goes to max brightness when I turn the headlights off.
what would be the best thread for this issue.
thank you.

Hi. I'm Boyd from Maryville, Tennessee. Right in the foothills of the Smokys. About 45 minutes from The Dragon. I'm a Retired Aircraft Mechanic, spent 38 years keeping big Boeing and Airbus aircraft going at some small outstations for a big freighter company (Big Brown).

I have a '23 F150 Supercrew XL 3.5 Max Tow. Got a color matched Leer cap on it. Use it as my daily driver. Carbonized Gray Metallic. My dog gets the back seat. Has about 14k miles on it now.

I have a few other toys...
A '21 Velocity Blue Mach 1, 5 speed. I've installed a lot of Steeda stuff underneath. Rear seat delete and a Watson 4 point roll bar. Use it for track days, autocross, nice drives thru the mountains, shows. Stock engine @ 480hp, hits 140mph down the backstretch at Road Atlanta.
Built a '17 Factory 5 Roadster (Cobra replica) with a Ford Racing 427W and a 5 speed that's just a blast to drive. 370hp and 470 lb/ft at the rear wheels, weighs 2300 lbs. :) Gets lots of attention. Beautiful Ford Sterling Gray Metallic that has undergone hours of work, and it shows...
'93 Fox Mustang that's heavily modified for road racing, nowhere near street legal. 620 hp N/A 368 all aluminum small block and a Jerico road race 5 speed.
Last, not least, a '21 Triumph Rocket 3 GT. 167hp and 163 lb/ft, 2300cc. 0-60 in about 2.5 seconds. And I can ride it all day.

Just kinda browsing around for now, havent done much of anything to my F150. Might upgrade some wheels & tires, do some Forscan work. I added green leds to the fender gills, looks pretty cool at night. Like I said, this is my daily, so I dont wanna mess with it too much.

See ya in the mountains!!

You can always start in your powertrain thread and let them move it. Good luck ?

I worked in Ford Powertrain Engineering for 31 year before I left in the 2007 White Collar Exodus (30% of white collar retired 2/28/2007 !).

If you drove/rode in any US Ford product with EFI prior to about 2002, I wrote some of the software that ran those engines (EEC-I, EEC-II, EEC-III, EEC-IV and EEC-V).
