How do you like the 2.7 vs the 5.0?

I have the 3.73 gears, paired with the 2.7 it feels quicker than the 5.0 did

How do you like the 2.7 vs the 5.0?

Cant really remember what the 5.0 was like because the 2.7 is a blast to drive I also have the 3.73 gears compared to the 3.55 gears in the 5.0

Hello everyone. I've been lurking for a very long time on this site ever since I took delivery of my F-150 Lariat. I posted a thread a few minutes ago in the Powerboost forum.
Anyways....here are a couple photos of my truck. I've tinted the white portion of the tailights and added the Borla cat-back exhaust since these photos were taken.
Next on my to-do list are painted Ford emblems and painted fender emblems. Not sure which direction to go with the fender emblems just yet.

I've been lurking and learning my way around the fourm here for the past few weeks while my truck was on order. I just took delivery of My first F-150 on March 30th. 2023 Platinum 701A, 4x4, 5.0, 3.73, Antimatter Blue, BAP, Moon roof, interior work surface. Looking forward to starting mods soon.

New to the site. I currently have a 2012 F150 FX4 SCREW, 3.5 EB, long bed, max tow that I’m considering replacing with a 14gen. Preparing to retire in a few years and would like to get another travel trailer and do a little wandering. The PB option sounds interesting but I’m concerned about the payload restrictions on a well-optioned truck. Was considering a 2023 but have decided to wait on the 2024s and see what changes Ford has in store. Till then I’ll keep researching and deciding what trim and options I want.

Hi All, I have been lurking a while, I made a sig with my mods. I just added a Built right front tag relocator so now my inter-cooler is no longer blocked! I want the Armadillo prerunner 'dear catcher' waiting for 21 model to come out. Couple pics below - I love lube locker gaskets.

Re: new rear diff cover, I wiped out the factory pumpkin 4000 miles and there was a bit of black super fine meatal in the housing from breakin - so new Amsoil, and the FRPP cover is 12lb of IRON and is heavy but can absorb more heat that the thin factory stamped steel (less than 1 pound?) I got 10K on her now, wasn't gonna keep the break in factory oil in there and wear till 'dirty underwear' for 100K, anal I know, but wth I love my new F150, now I'm good for 50K till I change it again. I had the front changed at the dealership as well. (ford points FTW)

Hi there guys, i'm Ash from Duncan, Vancouver Island. I have a 2017 v8 xlt supercab f150 i have slowly been working on it to make it less of a work truck and more unique and pleasing on the eye. I have already wrapped the chrome bumpers white, swapped out the chrome grille to sport, wrapped the roof gloss black, changed out the 17"stock to 20" 21' lariat sport. I am going to put on wheel 1.25" spacers that i got from the mainland (performance world- anyone had experience with them?) I am at the point where i have a pair of 2.25" level kit, but after watching youtube videos, i am not so confident. Anyone on the island know where i can go and what price you paid (close to duncan preferred) thanks so much.

Hi folks,

Bought my Agate Black 2022 XLT Powerboost a few weeks ago, and figured I’d join. Happy to have found a 2022 hybrid remaining on a dealer’s lot and got a decent deal…at least compared to the 2023 models (and the current market).

I’ve always wanted a truck, so I’m pretty excited to finally have one. I have ordered a Kimbo camper to go in the bed, so if anybody has experience with truck campers, it would be great to connect. I’ll be living out of this while I figure out my next home! The 7.2kw generator was a huge plus for me!

Mods to date:

- 2.5” Superlift front levelling kit
- Spray-in Bed Liner (can’t remember what brand)
- Soft tonneau cover (I think it’s Ford)
- Front tint
- LT275/65R20 Nokian Outpost AT tires
- Xpel paint protection film (front end)
- Diamon-Fusion windshield protection

Planned mods:

- STX Honeycomb grille (if you know where I can get one for a good price, please message!)
- Rear airbags
- Skid plates (sadly I have no FX4 package)
- Probably more down the road, once I recover financially haha

My name is Brian and I have a 23 xlt 302a high and love it so far! I’m no stranger to the f150’s as I have had several! I’ve done a few things so far, nothing much, still waiting for my readylift 2” to come in! But other that that, truck will stay as is! Hope everyone has a blessed day!

New member. 2022 F150 XL/STX 5.0L 4WD; Carbonized Grey. Not my first F150, but first one in a long time that I have felt like customizing and making my own.

Already added running board steps, box link plates and tie-downs, replaced the "mud guard" in front of rear wheels with simple trim version, and going to change wheel center caps to Raptor version this weekend. Other items to come as I figure them out.
