You can diagnosis to one of two things.
1. if you don't have lights even after starting the truck it's a wire issue.
2. If your interior lights work after you start the truck then it's a module issue.
I had the later. Many many people suggested putting a H7 battery in. It has higher output than the underpowered H6 ford puts in.
If the surface voltage. "Resting" of the battery falls below a certain level the battery control shuts off certain modules. One of wich controls the interior lighting. When the truck is started the voltage increases and things start to work.
Low battery voltage will keep you from remote start.

Dealer put in a new H7 battery. Truck was happy for a few days then back to the same old issues.

I installed a Bluetooth battery monitor. It charts the charge level ever few min. I could see my battery level dropping at a high rate starting when I shut off the truck.
The decline in charge would stop when the trucks battery saver mode kicked in and forced a compleat sleep mode. That meant no interior lights or remote start. Other wonky things were happening. Like windows lost their calibration. Radio lost program.

In the end it turned out that a module would not go to sleep like it should causing current drain while parked. Battery in 2 hours went from 13.3v to 11.8v. The battery saver program would kick in to save the charge and put the truck to sleep. Turning off all the things that needed some light current to operated like transmission learned values and occupant sension and remote key for receiver.

I disconnected the main AND rear under seat battery and waited over night. The next morning when I reconnected them the offending module was reset. It no longer hung in the on position.
Now my truck can sit for days and not lose even .5 volts.

I put a old H6 battery in and the truck works good. Every one thinks by changing the battery to a higher rating it fixes things. I think the time disconnected while changing the battery resets the modual.

If this happens again I will monitor the can buss and see what modual is still not sleeping when it should. I know it's one that is related to the audio amplifier because I see the amps power on and off for hours while the truck sleeps and the amp pulls alot of current.

There are a lot of threads here that discuss the battery problems.

I will have to take a look at the battery I think it’s fairly new I bought this truck used with about 50k miles on it.
The interior lights and the built in garage clicker worked when I first got it. Then after about a month it would work 50/50 then eventually not at all. Everything else seems to work fine, remote start works I use it every morning.
I took down the visors but couldn’t find any other issues that other people had. Think I’m stuck at having to take it in.

This truck is just messing with me now. It started working yesterday for about 20mins or so then I turned off the truck and it stopped working again. I think it’s a BCM issue they couldn’t get it to recalibrate when I got my windshield replaced yesterday and I also have about a dozen updates for my truck that haven’t been pushed through.

I had the same as you. Alot of people have the same issue. Do you ever see a battery saver notice on your screen?
You said that you are always able to remote start. That was a casualty of battery saver for me. No bed light. Open door no interior lights. Keep door open and start truck,, lights come on. Shut truck off, lock door, the remote start works. Next morning nada.
I picked up a cheep blue tooth battery monitor that sits on the battery. + - connection and BM2 app on phone. I don't have the link right now.
Using the app it saves and graphs the voltage of the battery. It saves many many days.
Using the app I can see the voltage dropping.
If it's staying around 12.5 steady then it's not the battery. The battery will be 13 right after you drive. I had dealer put in a new battery H7. Still had voltage drop. Replaced the aux battery, same thing. Bought a new Cosco H7 agm. While the resting voltage was higher it still went into battery saver mode. I did the bms reset after all these swaps.
Thus time it went into battery saver mode the second I turned off the truck. Even when my BM2 said the battery was at 13v.
Snakebitten suggested unplugging and reconnecting the bcm. My problem went away.
I'm not sure if it was the fact I had my "Batteries" disconnected for an hour or the plugging in of the connector that did the trick. Remember you have two batteries connected in parallel. One up front and one under rear passenger seat. The both need unplugged.

I have never gotten a battery service message and use the auto start daily. Welcome lights and everything comes on as well when I approach the truck.
When I first got the truck about 9 months ago the lights worked all the time then started being about 50/50 before it stopped all together. Now once in a blue moon it randomly works. I figured next I would try disconnecting my battery for awhile to see if that will reset the BCM. I will have to look into unplugging the BCM like you said hopefully that works, was it pretty straightforward to do? Maybe that will help me start getting all the updates I’m missing as well. Haven’t had an update since July of last year.

Took it to the dealer today they said it’s the BCM. So hopefully gonna be in next week and I can get it taken care of.

There’s a switch on the overhead console area that you need to push for all auxiliary lights to work when the ignition switches off and the doors open.
I was pissed right off for a solid week till I found that button. Drove me nuts.
