Int. lights have been mostly inactive for the last year. 25 Service appointments since getting this junk truck last year and officially sick of it.
Found out that if you don’t drive truck for an extended time, battery gets low and electronics start to shut down. See YouTube video by Ford on the BMS(Battery Mauntenance System) and how it works. Why didn’t they just put a better battery in these trucks to handle the electronics load?

get them to check codes in bcm .. you may have same issue i did where a wire from harness was pinched during build and is grounding out. I've seen a few posts about it. it's tricky to trace out, especially if it's transient.

Still dealing with this. I never know when they will or will not work. Totally undependable. The whole truck has been undependable from day one. 16 times back at the dealer for a slew of things. Only 12,000 miles and am trading it . Ordered a F250 Plat Tremor 7.3L February 3. Hope i get it this year.

Agreed. If the problem returns I plan on replacing the battery.
I'm a bit late with this update. Maybe 5 months ago after a return of 'low battery' and lighting issues I scheduled a service appointment with my local dealer and they replaced the battery under warranty, so Big Dog Daddy was right. I haven't had any issues since.

Hi there, first time post for me. I was searching the Internet because I was having the same issue where I would open the door, and the interior lights would not come on regardless of what the light button over by the sunroof switch was on or off. On the Internet, I saw something saying about a low battery mode that the truck puts itself into I guess if the battery is not charged fully?
I went to my ford app, and then noticed I had a note notification about two months ago, saying the truck would be going into sleep mode/ low charge, I thought it’s worth a try. I unhooked the positive charge the battery for about eight hours and now everything works like it normal.
This was just yesterday so now I guess I get to see how long it actually will last.

I had this issue occur sporadically over the warranty of my 2021 F150, but it was never an issue when I put it in for service. I suspected the issue was in the driver side visor. It seemed when I would use it heavily I would notice the lights(and more importantly the garage door opener) stop working when I needed them next. Forscan reported an interior light short in the BCM (note that there does not appear to be a fuse dedicated to the interior lights. The BCM detects a short and shuts them all down)

Removed the driver side visor and pulled back the fabric covering the wires and they were very obviously frayed right where the wire enters the headliner. I put some electrical tape to isolate the two wires and then wrapped the now isolated wires in additional electrical tape to provide protection. Restarted the car and it worked perfectly

I'm having the same issue, Getting code B14AA-Demand Lamp Output---11---
Circuit short to ground
This is in Forscan
Ford looked at the truck, but did not find the problem, going back in a couple of weeks.
I might look at this Sunvisor wiring.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Just bought my truck last month used 2021 3.5 Ecoboost. I have the same issue second time I have lost power to all lights and garage door opener. Last time it came back on after restarting the truck a few times. Had no problems for 2 weeks until this morning. Sadly no warranty as I’m over 50k miles. Hoping this is something I can fix myself.
First ford since a 96 bronco disappointed to be having problems like this. Never had a problem with my Tacoma but didn’t want a tundra because of all the recalls.

Yes, I did, I found the problem in the passenger side Sunvisor, the wires going to the mirror light were pinched, bare wires were rubbing against the Sunvisor mount. I have problems with this for 3 years.
There is no slack in the wires, they are glued onto the top of headliner, so I patched it the best I could with liquid tape, heat shrink and black tape.

ith no help from Ford.
I have pictures of what I found and patched, but it will take a complete removable of headliner to do right

Going to pull mine today hopefully it’s in the same spot so I don’t have to drop the headliner. ?? Sounds like what you did to fix it should be more then enough to last.

Well months later I checked my visor wiring and everything looks good and I have plenty of slack. Bummer that it wasn’t a simple fix for me I think eventually I’ll take it in and see what the dealer can do to fix it.
