if you have to remove the ground your electrician is a hack and doesn’t understand or follow National Electrical code! I’ve posted many times on this and the reasons whyGood and bad news.
Ok. So I have the electrician come to install the 50A generator inlet for the house.
Ran a 30A twist lock to 14-50NEMA dog bone, then generator cable. Was able to run all the 120V no problem. I did have to disconnect the ground from the box to make the truck work, as many have said.
However, when I tried to run one of the A/C unit, it overloaded the truck. I then switched to the 11kw generator I have (8k running with propane). It did hit 10.8kw on the generator display, when the compressor started, and that is with the soft starter that I had the electrician installed today as well. Guess I'll either live without AC using the truck, or use truck as a back up power source.
