Installed: Diode Dynamics Fog Pocket Kit

Finally ordered and installed the @Diode Dynamics Fog Pocket Kit on my 2021 F150 XLT Sport.

I'm very happy with the output and the kit appears to be well built. My only real con with them is adjusting them once they're mounted and tightening the screws on the inside bolts. I had to cut an Allen key to a stub but was eventually able to get them to tighten down. The install was rather easy, running the wiring harness through the firewall into the cab for the switch for the off-road pods was a royal pain. I did install the pods different from DD instructions; I put the off-road pods closer to center and the fog lights on the outside. I wanted more spread on the outside and I'm happy with it. Figured if I didn't like it I'll switch them around.

I went with the Sport/Cool White.

I also didn't install the ambient lighting feature. I just taped off that portion of the harness. To me it looks tacky...If the ambient light had a subtle white light I would've prob rigged them up.

Lights look super bright too bad you have to tear the whole front end apart in order to install them

They look good. I feel your pain on getting through the firewall gromet. I struggled for a while when I had to get a coax I to the engine compartment when I added the 350 cams. I have since bought a Snap On wire insertion tool. Makes life easy now lol

I ended up cutting the ziptie off the wiring bundle on the engine side and under the driver footwell. It loosed up quite a bit. I then took some solid 10ga wire I had laying around and was eventually able to feed it through.

My 2009 RAM I had back in the day was convenient...it had two extra accessory ports on the driver side and one on the passenger side. Ford made it about as difficult as one could imagine haha.

We do agree with the install part, it definitely can be a little bit of a time consuming project but for the most part its a very easy install. Enjoy the new set up!

Is the light output more then the stock XLT stocks ?

Absolutely. I had the base halogen fogs but I had replaced with LED bulbs, and even adjusted them up because ford aimed them like crap...they were bright . But these are on a whole different level.

The picture with the low/fogs are road compliant and haven't been flashed yet. If I flip the switch to the two inner pods those send more of a straight beam for trails/ off road use. Those would blind oncoming traffic but I'll flip the switch on/off as i need. But the two outter pods come on with my headlights just like the stock fogs did.

I adjusted them to the height level that DD recommended.
