I just went thru this thread and some things said really jumped out to me. First you CAN get a extended warranty from Granger if you live in Florida just not buy online. "Wet Signature" was the term the lady at Granger used..And a big benefit of buying a extended Ford warranty is a guaranteed 'first day rental' because even during the 3-36 a loaner is at the Dealerships discretion but the vast majority do provide one..at first. Another tip is to get a ZERO deductible to avoid the fee many dealerships 'ask' if a problem is not replicated..typically for a noise or electronic glitch something else that's difficult to replicate. Worst is bad dealerships that try to get a deductible for each of multiple issues.
I did not know you truly could order a single cab absolutely loaded in 2021 and 2022. I thought even back then many options were just not available! I was shocked you could get a snow plow prep! Dual alternatior??!! I would absolutely love to order a dual battery setup with that on my 2024! Then just drop in my own inverter.
Compared to a loaded extended cab of any type the 2024 XL single cab short bed is cheep for what you get 'standard'. Especially if a 2 wheel drive. I had no plans to buy a new truck until I watched the 'Sleeper' videos and remembered how much I loved the 2006 SRT-10 Quad cab I drove for 3 years. So yep a Mustang with a BIG trunk and more importantly all the latest safely tech and nannies might be the perfect vehicle for my needs now. I'm 69 and 100%SC Navy vet and I KNOW tech can and will make me a safer driver. Heck just the rear view camera on my 2015 Honda Fit saved my butt at least 5 times now!
Yep your loaded single cab IS a real Unicorn! I would love to see the window sticker for that as I bet yours has the highest MSRP of them all! I too like oddballs and have been lucky enough to own 3 Ford F-150 Super Cabs over the years that were special. But I think my 2024 XL single cab when I finally order and get it at Granger will be the safest..

Honestly... All I know at this point is my #6 cylinder lost compression.
Immediately block @JExpedition07
He would ask the same for me if it were a PB.
*edit Nevermind. He’s touting the impressive piston design and appears unfazed. Nice ?

The power drivers seat is available on fleet orders in 2024 but many desirable options are not. 360 camera interior work surface FX-4 snow plow prep towing upgrades ect are not. I think you got one with just about all available. Can't get carpet at all. But I'll be happy with mine. Did you get the 400 watt inverter with a plug in the dash and bed?

Turns out it was a shattered valve. "UNIKRNF150" has taken on a whole NEW meaning!
It damaged the rollers & the cam shaft but not the head or below.

Thank God I don't have a business relying on having this truck on the road!

We're waiting to hear if Ford wants it repaired or will be sending a new head. I really don't care either way. I have the Premium Care ESP so it's THEIR problem until 2028!

After eight months of waiting for them to build this truck.. I made "other arrangements" long ago so other than the payments I'm making on a truck I haven't been able to drive in 2022... I'm just finding this all very fascinating to watch.

Of course all my buddies telling me with GREAT JOY... "I told you to get a Toyota"! lol

I'd rather have a broken down 2021 F150 than a Toyota ANY DAY!

I've driven the new Toyotas and they don't hold a candle to the 2021 5.0 F150.
I bought the Auto Preferred Care Plus Package as well. I am covered until 2032. LOL. I am loving my new 5.0 and drive it like I stole it.

DO!

I'm 30k+ into my "repair"... beating the ever-loving piss out of it every chance I get ($5.00+ a gallon gasoline BE DAMNED) and that "fat lady" is STILL singing at the top of her lungs without an end in sight!

I haven't had this much fun since my teenage years in my Firebird Formula 400.

That sucks, my 23 5.0 just broke the timing chain at 9k miles.
