With the Ford BMS my approach would be to install a fuel gate valve with access below the seat on the passenger side. Or have a 12VDC activated solenoid valve to stop the flow of fuel.
If a thief gets a mile down the road and then has the truck engine die completely I would not expect them to take time to diagnose the problem.
If practical I would also use a trail camera to capture and video any activity at night around the truck as this could provide the police (when they decide to show up) with information that would help to arrest the individual.
