With the Ford BMS my approach would be to install a fuel gate valve with access below the seat on the passenger side. Or have a 12VDC activated solenoid valve to stop the flow of fuel.

If a thief gets a mile down the road and then has the truck engine die completely I would not expect them to take time to diagnose the problem.

If practical I would also use a trail camera to capture and video any activity at night around the truck as this could provide the police (when they decide to show up) with information that would help to arrest the individual.

I am with TD also and asked them about this and they said my rates would only go down $100 a year... if I got a immobilizer. IMO not worth it if the cost of equipment and install is near $1k.

Here's another one for you to throw in the mix: That 3rd sentence doesn't apply if a plea is worked out to a different charge without a minimum sentence, or the case is pulled due to court backlogs/lack of staff/violations/time delay.

Thank you! I can confirm that it only impacts my insurance by $100. Screw that. i am not bothering with a stupid immobilizer.

Pissess me off that TD origianly said to me it was going to increase 20% considering i am already paying 5 figure insurance.
