The 2021 will not allow you to shift out of park if the fob isn't in the vehicle.

I had IGLA installed in my Powerboost. It alows me to start the engine as normal , it will run indefinitly with all function ie AC etc, but without disarming the IGLA it can not be put in drive and driven. It simply shuts the truck down when put in gear. If curious about this , do a search for IGLA In 2024 F150 on utube. I'll try to post a link later in the day , I'm out of the house shortly. This is the second vehicle we have used IGLA in , and are very satisfied with it.

Full disclosure, I have not actually tried PPOB with IGLA. The installer says no problem and the truck will idle with the air on indefinitly. My understanding is IGLA kills the engine only if the authentication has not been entered before attemting to put it in drive.I got the truck home and have been buried in work since. I've been able to fit some truck stuff in , but not PPOB so far.

An update. I tested the truck , with PPOB working with the key fob in the truck. IGLA allows youi to start the truck with out the authentication. When you try to put it in gear it will shut the truck down. So , I can start and run the truck , turn on and use PPOB , with FOB in truck. No time limit AFAIK. The truck will not allow you out of Park with PPOB on. I shut down PPOB and was now able to get out of Park into Drive. Then IGLA killed the truck. So it appears the truck is secure from drive away theft while using PPOB even with the FOB in truck if you have IGLA. I have the 2024. IGLA install and properties vary slightly from year to year. But I think its a safe bet that across the PB production years , that IGLA will secure the vehicle.

I'll have to check this but maybe you know. Could you get in the truck and turn off PPOB from the screen and then put the truck in Drive? Is this possible since the truck is already running or will the shifting into Drive be soley dependent on that FOB.
