I'm glad you're driving that truck. I'm jealous. I don't get to drive nearly as much as I used too. We take my wife's car when we go places together.

I bet the pro power is great with the trailer. No generator droning in the background anymore?

Miss the talk too!
So my first trip out with the trailer we went dry camping. Only out for three days so I wasn’t even gonna hook up propower. Wasn’t hot out so I didn’t need AC or anything. Of course both my batteries were shot. Ended up running it off the truck and I tell you what it is definitely a game changer.

Snow ??? We are planning a motorcycle ride down to Pagosa Springs this fall stopping at Pikes Peak. Snow.... Maybe skip the peak. LOL
Yeah. The weather is unpredictable up there. America's mountain is 14,115 ft. All said, you really do want to see the world from the top of the mountain. I used to ride and I think going to the top would be a worthy and satisfying challenge.

Better let me know when you come through town! PM me.

I have made two trips to Houston recently. I was able to average 23 mpg.

In the city, during rush "hour" traffic, the hybrid system really shines. Coasting along or sitting in traffic while on battery power is really cool.

My day to day is highway and interstate so I do not get to take full advantage of this feature.

Is the system perfect, no. Has Ford hit a home rum out of the gate, I believe so. There are some programming changes I would make, but overall, I cannot complain.

I will be taking it in for its first oil change soon, at a little of 5000 miles.

I am going to have them look at the back door, that just does not open or close correctly, and see if they can figure out why the wipers come on when I start the truck in the morning.

Other than that, no complaints and no other issues.

I hope everyone else is enjoying their trucks, Powerboost or otherwise.

I'm glad you are enjoying your truck. It took long enough to get it. I love the technology and engineering that's wrapped up in our trucks.

Looking at your dash thermometer, I would say it's hot enough. Combine that and the humidity and I bet it's intolerable.

I wish I could have gotten mine sooner. I don't get to drive it enough. I've made it to 1069 miles. I need to take mine in for the windshield washer. It leaks all the fluid out. I don't think I've ever been able to spray the windshield to clean it.

I do not know if you ever get used to it, but you do become tolerant of the weather. I have lived in the south my entire life, so it is just another day.

Those days of waiting on a VIN and then watching build weeks slip and then finally having a truck "built" but would not ship seem like soooo long ago.

I thought people were crazy when they said, "it is worth the wait". I mentioned to someone how much more advanced this truck is to my previous and not just in the technology.

While you never want an issue, if you have to have one, yours does not seem to be too bad. Just like my door, liveable, but needs to be fixed. There are many horror stories out there.

Well fellas just got back from another successful camping trip. Over 100 degrees where I live so making it over to the ocean was a nice change. Used the powerboost to power the trailer off and on for the trip. It’s crazy how good this thing works. Ran it maybe 5 hours a day and barely used any gas. As I have said before I was going to send some pics. Well here they are. Hope all yup guys are doing well!

So I have been hit with the same problem that others have had. Sheared off axel bolt. Just took it in for scheduled maintenance and there it was. They were really quick at putting in a order for a new rear axel and thinks it will be in by Wednesday. Said that I can drive it just don’t tow with it right now. Talked to the head mechanic there and he assured me that it’s ok to drive while I wait. I will keep you guys updated.

I wonder why on some and not on others. Ours are comparable, mechanically, and a week apart on blend date. I just got back from having mine serviced and nothing was found (5300 miles)

I have not towed anything with mine or loaded it down yet.

On a lighter note, the door striker needed adjustment to get the door opening and closing properly.

So you got that fixed. Nice. Hopefully you won’t have any issues. If the axel comes in tomorrow that would be a crazy turnaround time. I was just there Monday when they found it. Service advisor said it’s about a half a day to replace. So I’m looking at the bright side as usual.

Hey fellas, what is going on? I hope y'alls summer has been fantastic so far.

I got my windshield washer fixed. It needed a new pump. I know you were wondering if they kept it overnight? Yes they did. They had to get a pump from Denver.
I did the nickel trick on my console lid and it works perfectly. I installed the Powerboost backup beeper delete from MegaOhm. It was surprisingly easy. I also put on a metal fuel door pin. That was pretty easy too.
I'm getting the rig leveled on Friday. A Retrax Pro XR tonneau cover, Husky fender liners and mud flaps and vent visors are on the way. Real Truck has really good prices. Just email them what you want and they will send you back a quote.

Mileage check: 1174. I'm at a 1/4 on the May tank of fuel.

What is the nickel trick? I have not heard of that one.
Where did you get the metal pin from? I saw it advertised at some point and have not decided whether I will change it or not.
We will need a pic once the mods are complete.
BTW, you need to drive that truck more. They are so much fun!

Rear axle has been replaced. Only took them half a day. Everything is running great and back to normal.
