I waited 8 months for my Platinum. It was definitely worth the wait.

I ordered a decked out Lariat in August. Only getting the boiler plate “45 day” emails from Ford. About 3 weeks ago, I bought a ‘21 Lariat with 11,000 miles, for $55k (sticker $67.3). It’s missing a lot of options I have on order (smart scale, blue cruise, PB, 7.2k pro power, moon roof, power steps, etc) BUT I paid $20k less than my order price and I get to drive the truck now. Heated steering wheel is nice too. Not sure what I will do when my order is finally built. If Ford honors their promotional APR, and my new truck holds enough value, I could see myself eating the taxes I paid and getting the truck I really wanted. Maybe I’ll keep this truck. Every time I drive it, I forget about all the things it’s missing. The color has grown on me too (smoked quartz)

Hats off to those that can order, and wait, for months to get their truck. ? I didn't get everything I possibly wanted, but close enough off of the dealer's lot.

It was a spur of the moment decision to change vehicles, and I luckily got 90% of what I would have if I custom ordered.

Hoping it comes soon for you!! ?

That's pretty much how it went for me. Spent about a month or so working with sales staff from 6 dealerships trying to get one close to what I wanted. Mostly because I didn't want to wait the 6+ months for a custom order, but also because of the persistent leak issue on the Ranger that they couldn't fix.

Finally had one list a truck that was close-ish in options that was just logged as in-transit to them so I went in to lock it down. To my surprise they got the PB in that same day and had 99% of the options I wanted vs the other. So I bought it instead. The only thing I wish it had was the sport appearance package vs chrome.

Mine are wandering, too. But not looking at Ford. I've had a few Chevys over the years but never a truck. I'm really close to ordering a GMC 1500 Denali Ultimate or a Chevy High Country (if I just can't swallow the Ultimate cost). Either way I'm going with the 6.2l for likely my last ICE. It'll look sweet next to the Camaro. ;)

The one I got off the dealer lot is actually better than the one I ordered. The PB I ordered didn’t have the 7.2 kW Pro Power Onboard. It’ll be ludicrous to order a PB without it, IMHO.
