I was installing a Trailer Brake Controller today and I noticed there is an HVAC DTC, I tried to reset it but it didn't go away:

Apart from the description, it could also be sensor failure or a wiring issue. The sensor measures relative humidity and has input into the decision-making of the HVAC module, but the worst thing that could happen is some wonky behaviour of recirc and a/c type of things. I'd get it looked at but I can't see it as being urgent IMO.

I had that. Dealership swapped out the sensor above the rearview mirror and it went away. If you're out of warranty it's very easy to do and very inexpensive.
