I sometimes get a lugging rattle at low rpm. When I tap on the plastic fuel tank skid plate I get a pretty bad reverberating rattle. Wondering if it could be the cause.
I’d like to see if I can get rid of the rattle.
There are 4 13mm bolts on the bottom of the plastic plate. It appears this is the only thing holding on the plate. However in my Google searching a Bronco owner warned that removing the plate bolts actually loosened his tank. So I’m a little leery to just try it on the F150.
I cannot seem to find any info online, unfortunately. Is the plastic skid plate unique to the Powerboost?
