Now that I have done this "mod" to two F150s, I commend you on your ability to contort yourself into a position while using two hands to simultaneously pull the spring back and get those spacers on there. I honestly don't know how you did it! Double stacked nickles on the bottom spring leg was the easiest for me to accomplish.
