How to fill Tremor/BAP grille notch?

Does anyone know of a way or have any ideas on how to fill the hood release notch on a Tremor/BAP grille? I would like to put one of them on my Lariat Sport but the notch will be visible with my standard hood. I'm assuming a body shop can fill, prep and paint it but I am looking for more of a DIY approach. If it will be expensive or super involved, I may end up just leaving it visible and live with it until I can find a used Tremor/BAP hood or another grille if an aftermarket one comes out that I like better.

i was thinking about this not too long ago. not sure theres gonna be any perfect solution. maybe a piece of foam? 3D print something? find an old grill and cut a piece to fit the notch?

your route would look best cosmetically but man, i bet its not cheap.

btw the time you do that might be able to find a used Tremor hood haha even having to paint it might break even once you notch fill and paint the grill.

i wish Ford would just offer a damn BAP grill for non tremor hooded trucks! it appears they offer one thats part of that one package but i dont think you can buy it separately.

Thanks for the reply. I had also thought about trying to find a cheap grille and cutting out a piece to fill the notch or 3D printing a filler piece but if it didn't look factory, I wouldn't be able to unsee it every time I looked at it. My company does work with a guy who has a 3D scanner and printer so maybe I will reach out to him to see what he can do.

I think I have seen the grille you are talking about. Is it just a Lariat grille painted gloss black?

I would recommend any filler (JBweld or similar epoxy) as long as you plan on sanding and paint.

The Ford Performance package grille is just a Lariat grille with gloss black paint. Not the same style as the Tremor grille. I think the notch is only issue when you make it one. Seen photos of the swap and looks fine at distance.
