New truck and every time I restart the truck I need to re-adjust the heads up display so it's not too low to get cut halfway from view.

I have ford pass app setup and connected to my truck. I also tried pressing the key fob-1 button on the door after adjustment.

No dice...

I believe you have to use one of the save buttons, which is used for the seats and mirrors, I had the same problem until I did that. From the manual:
  1. Note: When you save a memory preset position, your current head up display settings are also saved to that memory preset position. See Memory Function (page 199).
  2. The memory function recalls the position of these features:
    • Driver seat.
    • Power mirrors.
    • Optional power steering column.
    • Optional power adjustable pedals.
    • Optional head up display.

I had this happen yesterday after the battery had been disconnected for a gear shift module replacement. I did not have any issue with it saving the configuration before. What I found is that the layout mode had changed to "Normal" instead of "Automatic." Putting it back on Automatic made it remember my position and brightness again like it had before.

Thanks! I was on an 1800 mile road trip and too pooped to review the manual but I did find what BEW mentioned yesterday after I got home. I was not holding the memory save button down long enough.

My HUD settings and other preferences are lost every time I've received over-the-air updates. You will get more practice saving these settings.

Yeah, that's fun, huh. Why these settings aren't stored as files is why automakers shouldn't being designing software. Do your phone settings reset evrytime you get an iOS or Android update? Didn't think so.

Any way to adjust horizontal? Mine could be a few clicks to the right.

I tried saving lumbar support settings but apparently no dice. Maybe someday in an update b/c it's a pain to turn on and adjust.

I don't see that just rotate and vertical. I had the same feeling about mine but I just got used to it I guess and don't notice so much anymore.

I just had my 2nd OTA update after owning for almost 3 months. After 5 weeks I got my 1st recall notice. Not super important, the computerized dash might go dark so I can't see controls is all. I don't find that to be a hazard. But what I don't understand is why that can't be fixed with an OTA instead of my spending time at a dealer. Unless it's hardware related.

Priority. So many software anomalies to fix. Limited resources to do it with.

I actually got two OTAs (brake boost and display) which are the same two open recalls. I figured after the OTAs got applied the recalls would go away but they haven't. Can't imagine it's not the same update at the shop or OTA.
