Automatically set to lower at 40 mph. You can always put a camera in front by the lip.

True but there is a way to check operation without having to mount a camera, go for a drive and then review the footage.

I'd like to know as well. I imagine in the summer it will get full of splatted bugs and would like to clean it off once in a while.

I suppose I could have my better half hang out over the hood at 45mph and clean it for me? :ROFLMAO:

Bump.

No one here has had the opportunity to check the air dam operation while still?
Tawny was a good idea.....35 years ago.

You don't....
There has to be a way.
Service personnel have to be able to verify operation and I have seen it done on a YouTube vid but they didn't tell you how.
The new Tundra can and the owners manual tells you precisely how..

Right, all I'm saying is YOU don't. Ford for whatever reason doesn't seem to want us to know how to do it. Im picking up mine from the dealer today for getting the air dam replaced actually. I'll ask the tech if they know how to deploy it.

Edit: my tech said, he's never had a reason to figure it out. They either are busted or aren't. So that was helpful...

Probably because Toyota engineers are so unsure about their new truck, they want owners to check if they work properly once a month ?
