How do I enter keyfob programming mode?

I have purchased the stick on keypad for keyless entry. I can’t seem to make the truck enter programming mode. I have followed the procedures of switching off/on 8 times, but it never cycles the locks. Any tips? I have a 2021 XL.

I get that, thank you. My problem is that it is not a fob. I need to get the truck to accept a keypad.
