I just factory ordered a 2025 Stx 201a 5.0 max tow and recieved 8000 off msrp (cdn). 65k+taxes
Did I do well with this deal?

I was looking all over to find a 2024 5.0 with 3.73s but was not having any luck.

So, I can't say if you did for your specific configuration, but for reference:

In 2022, I factory ordered a 2023 XLT302A FX4 with a 2.7L and came out at $64,000 + Tax after getting $7,500 off.

In 2023, a coworker bought a 2022 XLT302A XTR with a 2.7L with no options for $59,000 + Tax without a discount.

In 2024, a coworker bought a 2024 XLT301A BAP with a 2.7L with no options for $58,000 + Tax with something like a $9,000 discount.

I imagine since the 5.0L is rare in Canada with the 2024+ trucks it reduces your ability to get a discount. Hopefully that helps.

EDIT: Did a bit of searching across Southern Ontario. Parkway Ford has XLT302As with the V8, but no Max Tow pack, for $60,000.

When haggling in the Middle Eastern souks I learned any deal in which the seller is willing to part with the item and you are willing to part with the cash, you did well enough.

Could you have found a lower deal? Maybe. But is it worth fretting about? Probably not, unless you want to stress yourself out with the, "would'a, could'a, should'a game."

Didn't get the "joy" of that experience; always dealt in cash; frequently in local currency.

The kid running off & back was for hot tea (Numi Basra if I could get it) and finger foods while the deal was being worked.
