I did the FP/Whipple install myself so that pretty much says it :) I did contact Whipple support on installing the SPD to see if I need a tune change or anything. They said no, I'll be fine as long as the pipes have a CAT and is factory equivalent.

Wow. I’ll give Whipple support a call as well but do you think they’ll be ok with me adding the SPD Alpha Cats and not voiding their warranty?

I would definitely call them if I was under warranty….

I am curious as to why SW headers at 2600 vs 2M fab headers at 900? They both are T304 stainless made in the USA with lifetime warranties and high flow cats.
Don‘t get me wrong the SW headers are great but triple the price great?
Have you or others done the 2M fab headers w/cats?
I've been looking at them. Can't understand why the SW are so much more, either.

I'm trying to decide between 2M, SW and LTH all with high flow cats to mate to the Corsa pre-axle catback.

2M most attractive in price point, even if they do outsource to China. I once used OBX headers which were from China and actually good quality

I had them on my 22 Whipple build and they were great. I had stainless works on both my GT350 whipple builds and they were great as well(they came on the cars). They seemed louder but the voodoo is on another level.
‘I’m probably going with them again for my 21 but I’m going to do the fueling upgrades at the same time.

Which cats did you go with and did you have CEL troubles?

I’ve used GESi with no light
catless with a light
2M with no light

I’m thinking of going back with 2M on this build

I've seen guys using the cheap 2M cats in their kit throwing codes.

for what its worth i emailed roush about this and they said replacing cats with aftermarket voided their warranty. I assume whipple would be the same.

Yes Whipple said the exact same thing. I will just order them soon and then wait until my limited Whipple warranty is up to install them. They’ll be in my garage boxed up and ready. At least I won’t have to wait on the shipment like I’m currently waiting on my traction bars. ??‍♂
