Hi everyone,

I'm hoping I can get a hand. I'm getting a little confused regarding the proper sizing of LED replacement bulbs for the halogen ones on my 22 PB XLT 302A. Can anyone tell me which LED bulb sizes I should get for the brake and reverse lights including the high ones above the truck bed or direct me to a table that would have all the appropriate sizes for my trim level? Thank's in advance!

I've found that the manufacturers website will usually have the bulb types once you have entered your vehicle information. Just make sure you use canbuss rated bulbs so you don't have hyperflash issues.

The light above the truck bed is already LED. It's an integrated unit and probably not worth your time to replace.

The tail lights are 4x red and I've used the 4257 models from undergroundlighting.com. Those are the ones that have a built-in resistor and cooling fan which avoids the hyperflash problem.

I've also edited FORScan to allow cheaper amazon bulbs, I believe that I bought 3157's but you have to do a little surgery to remove the tabs on the side of the bulb to fit in the socket.

I'm using undergroundlighting amber's up front and those are incredibly bright.

Again, the biggest question for you is whether or not you want to mess around with FORScan and remove the hyperflash option since the truck will think that normal LEDs are an "open" incandescent.

I’ve heard a lot about the underground lighting failing, I’d go lasfit they are also the canbus resistant bulbs so they don’t hyper flash! Why would you want loud fans in your taillights when you could have a quality bulb with an engineered heat sink?

As someone who is currently going through issues with underground lighting, I'll advise to stay away from them. My front turn signals have been great. They're bright and instant, zero failures. But, my brake lights have now had 4 failures. 1 failed, sent it back to have analyzed, tested bad and replaced. I had to pay for shipping back. Once I received my replacement, I noticed yet another bulb has failed. Pay more shipping to send back. They replaced it. Now, the same two bulbs have failed again. They partially light up, flash oddly. Not what you want in an expensive led replacement.

I've emailed them approx 4 days ago to see what they can do for me as I am not about to pay again to ship these bulbs back. Took video of failure, if that won't suffice for them, they'll be tossed. Either I'll just stay with stock or I'll find a reputable company that makes a quality light.

They currently have 5 stars on their site. I will certainly be leaving a 1 star if they aren't going to take care of this without me forking out more money for shipping. If I'm being honest, even if they did, I don't have much confidence that those wouldn't fail at some point either.
