I think it is the projector LED as the truck was outfitted with just about every bell and whistle.I just went through this. I was never able to get the lens off the housing. I tried a heat gun and never could get the adhesive to soften. I then started with the oven (the light is massive, it barely fits in a house hold oven) and I started at 200F and worked my way up to 275F. I couldn't get it soft at 200, 225, or 250, and at 275 the entire thing melted spectacularly. I suspect the issue is how close it was to the heating element since the light is so big. if you decide to try it yourself, be sure to take the light out of the oven every time you change the temperature set point and then put it back in once it reaches the new temperature.
Do you have LED projectors or LED reflectors? My driver's light was busted so I have a spare passenger, it is the LED projector style.
Let me know if you are interested in mine. It's sitting in a box waiting for someone to buy it.LED protjector type as I ordered most all upgrades to the truck when ordered.
I guess I was just too impatient. I've never had to leave a headlight in for more than 30 minutes before. I was really worried about leaving all of the electronic components inside the light in the oven that long. I was worried about solder reflow."We spent about 5 hours in the oven with these as they're sealed inside and outside"
