Gotcha. Unfortunately, that would require one to have Forscan

All things considered it's a relatively inexpensive investment. Just need the OBD cable, a cheap windows 10 laptop if you don't have one, and download a copy of Forscan. Run the free trial to make changes or pay for the license.

Update - the driver's side is having flickering issues at startup (seems almost like the exhaust note interferes with it) and then the top bar flickers constantly. I emailed the seller, we'll see. I may have to return these. Sad because I love the look.

Have to unplug the animation wire. At least the UQZ brand tail lights (look exactly like these) had this fix.

I never connected that wire. It was definitely a quality issue - like one of the leds was going bad. It wasn’t hyper flashing.

This is why I’m on the fence of getting the cheap ebay led taillights or bend over and pay for the OEM ones.

Somewhat related-

I can confirm that the LED replacements that RECON offers, are not compatible with trucks that have the On Board Scales. Not because of the scale indicator, but because the reverse lights also do not work. Their tech support told me that aside from the scale indicator not functioning, everything else would work, but they do not.

OEM replacement is $1,350 from Levittown, and that is just the housing, no module. Ridiculous.

My dumb ass backed into a tree and cracked the passenger side housing. Expensive mistake
