OP does your truck have the raised area like the pic posted by vaeyedoc? When you say your truck measures 12 1/4 are you measuring the opening at the top or at the bottom of the console? My truck is a 2024 XLT with 5.0. The opening at the top is 12 1/4 but the length front to back at the bottom is a little over 14". It does not have the raised area shown in the pic. Funny thing is EBay says it don't fit my truck. It lists all F150 including Lightning but leave out the XLT. Strange. Why would it fit STX, XL, Lariat, etc. with all engines but not the XLT?

My console measures 12 1/4" from the front wall to the back wall of the console. I looked at the Console Vault website and they have 2 vaults for the 2024 F150. One of them is Ford F-150 Full Floor Center Console Truck Safe: 2024+ [console length 12 1/4"]
This isn't a half safe, but a full console safe. This is the only website that I found that listed the 12 1/4" dimension. We'll see.

I ordered the same one as the OP from Amazon. My truck is an XLT. Amazon's description says it does not fit the XLT. Ebay also says it does not fit the XLT. It says it fits all F150's including Lightning but not the XLT. I ordered from Amazon and paid more because it's easier to send back if it didn't work. Despite both saying it doesn't fit...... IT DID FIT MY XLT. My XLT has the black out pulse package. This means it has the shifter in the floor. I'm not sure if this matters. All I know is it fits perfect.

I installed my Console Vault in my truck today. It took about an hour. The opening to work through is small and I have big hands. It’s hard to see in there too. I bought the Console Vault brand because I couldn’t find a cheaper safe that would fit in my 2024 Ford F150 Lariat FX-4. I tried a couple of other brands and they were too big.

My console measures 12 1/4” from front wall to back wall inside. The other brands that showed their dimensions measured 14” from front wall to back wall. I asked a couple of sellers, that didn’t have the dimensions shown, to tell me if their product measured 12 1/4” or 14” and all they said is it would fit a 2024. I’m guessing they have a web page and no stock to go measure. They just drop ship from who they buy them from.I think what the difference between the 2 safe sizes that are available, is that the 12 1/4” console is the flow through, with HVAC vents for the back seat. I’m guessing the console without the flow through is the 14” version. Maybe one of you can confirm this
I really wanted a half safe, but couldn’t find one that would fit. My truck has the floor shift also.
I bought the keyed lock instead of the conbination lock. It is cheaper. I may change it to a combination lock. It is a standard size lock that can be swapped out to a combo lock..

Tray that came with the truck won’t fit
The key won’t come out if it is unlocked
which is OK because there is no way to
keep it closed if it isn’t locked

I'm still not sure why Amazon and eBay say it won't fit an XLT but it does. I have ordered a biometric lock from Amazon. It should arrive tomorrow. I think it had a 4-star review. I hope it works. I don't like the idea of fumbling in the dark trying to set the combination.

Could this be the reason. It appears there may be different floors in the consoles.

No, that isn't what my console looks like inside. I can't take a picture because I have installed the 12 1/4" Console Vault.

12 1/4" is at the bottom of my console. I wound up getting a Console Vault that was expensive and no hole for the charging cord to go through. They have 2 different vaults for a 2024.

We don't make console safes but have the same issue with our console organizers. It started in 2024 F150 models with the shorter console. In 2024 and 2025 we saw both consoles. We have yet to be able to relate the console to a specific feature or trim level. Based on organizer sales it's about 50/50 on what console you get with 2024+ trucks. Last week I looked at 15+ 2025 F150 consoles and all were the shorter console. If that's the case it appears 2026 may standardize on the shorter console. We'll see!

We have organizers available for both versions of the console. The attached graphic shows the back wall of the console and the vertical rib features that are associated with the shorter console (image on the right).
