Can someone tell me the length of the longer self tappers they used to install the safe? I just received mine and also want to use longer self tappers but don't want to go too long and hit something underneath or go through the floor pan.

For anyone that is going to install this safe, I used 1" self tappers instead of the 3/4'" ones that came with it. I also drilled three more holes and put six of them in and it feels pretty sturdy.

Looking to reach out to those who installed the E&G half console vault for our 14th gens? Just place an order for one earlier today, is set to be delivered next week from US to Canada. Have a few questions to ask!

My question is where did you order from? I looked and all the places that had the half safe said they wouldn't ship to Canada. Is there duties and imprt charges on there as well?

Just an FYI, installed one of these in my '24 XLT PB last night. Contrary to what Apollo off-road told me it is not a direct fit. I had to cut a notch out of the console side wall (rear driving side) and modify the rear plastic piece of the console that hides the springs (basically cut the shelf bar in half and trim the bottom of the piece to fit the safe). With that, I was able to make it work and am happy with it now (so far). If you've got a dremel, you can make pretty quick work of it.

Question, is yours with a folding workstation armrest or just a standard armrest? It will differ between the two and have another one incoming for my 2024 F-150 Lariat high.

Thanks for the reply! Definitely will require a bit of trimming due to the workstation version.

Any issues with just the self tappers? I had this brand in my 2019 with the plate that requires you getting under the center console to install.

Or has anyone put their own plate or tried bolts and large washers to install yet???

I just don’t think self tappers in plastic is a good design.

No issues! I have the updated newer version for my 2024 F-150 Raptor and self tappers have been holding in great! However I created 3 more holes to the bottom of the safe and changed all screws to 6 self tappers. No wobble or anything, does not move at all.

Installed mine last weekend—fit was snug but no issues. If anyone’s wondering about alternatives or comparisons, I looked around a lot before pulling the trigger and ended up deciding to buy gun safes from Liberty Safe because I’d seen decent feedback on durability. I didn’t bother with extra padding inside, but might add some later just to keep stuff from rattling.
