Uneven tire wear is not a tire issue but a driver issue.
This isn't displayed in the OPs pics or the discussion here, but how would a driver cause cupping wear? What about worn inner edges of tires? I've never once seen abnormal wear blamed on the driver with the exception of outer edge wear and hard cornering or if someone is doing burnouts.

I've had Hankook tires on multiple vehicles... been very happy with them, never had any uneven wear and have gotten expected mileage out of them.

I have over 20k miles on mine and they look and ride like new.

Yeah kinda weird that my Michelin’s don’t wear unevenly or my Blizzaks don’t… but the hankook do. I don’t magically become a different driver with the Hankooks. Both front and rears have inner and outer tread were and it was always worse on the front. The tires were always inflated above factory spec of 35 psi…. Right now the front are 39 cold and the rears are 38 cold.

And for everyone else, sorry but just google this and you’ll find all kinds of forums with the same issue. Maybe it was my batch of the 2021 model year but something is definitely off with this truck and tread wear on these tires. I find it also odd that the 4 other guys on my street with 2021-2023 502a all have the exact same thing - outer tread wear on front and rears. Oddly enough, one of them just switched to Michelin Defender 2’s and, lo and behold, no more outer tread wear!

I am having the same wear problem with my Hankooks. 32,000 miles, rotate them every 7,500 miles, maintain 36PSI, and do not drive it like it was stolen. They have never handled well in the rain, but are so much worse now. I am going tomorrow to change them out for the Michelin Defenders after getting my alignment checked. I drive a 2022 Supercrew Powerboost 502A.

I found out the hard way with my 2021 that the wheel alignment was off quite badly with toe from brand new. I stupidly assumed that it was ok from factory. I also discovered according to an old sage at a tire place that once the wear patterns start, correcting the alignment and rotation has little effect on the longevity of the tire... That was Pirelli's.

So, with my 2024 I went and got the alignment checked straight away and sure enough, the toe was out again... This time with Hankooks.

Obviously with putting on new/replacement tires the alignment is checked and reset properly... which would mean toe wear isn't happening....

I think we all assume (as I did) that our trucks are properly aligned from new and think it's the tires....

I noticed uneven tread wear after 5K miles and decided that running at the Ford recommended tire pressure of 35 PSI was a possible reason for the problem. I started using 38 PSI with these tires to have more tread wear at the center of the tires.

I traded in my 2021 Lariat 502a above for a 2024 Lariat 502a back in September 2024. The new truck came with the Hankooks again. Same issue. Outer tread wear. I overinflate the fronts a few psi and then had an alignment done this spring along with a tire rotation. It seems to have improved it but still the same issue. It is what it is.

Hey, they were pretty decent in this snow this past winter though!
