2024 F-150 Lariat 3.5 Hybrid FX4 w/7.2Kw onboard generator
So I have a 2015 Plat that came with the FX4 package. It has somre pretty nice protection under the truck. My new 2022 also came with the FX4 package, it has a flimsy cardboard plate underneath. What else is part of the FX4 package? Better shocks or suspension? Definitely not a lift or better tires... What really makes it an offroad upgrade? So what is the $1005 FX4 addon? Kinda blows me away the MCS delete was a +$300 credit, but the FX4 cardboard cost -$1000??

The FX4 package includes several additional features that distinguish it from the standard 4x4, as detailed…

• Electronic-Locking Rear-Axle: Enhances traction in off-road conditions.

• FX4 Off-Road Decal: A cosmetic feature indicating the off-road package.

• Tray Style Floor Liner: Protects the interior from dirt and debris during off-road use.

• Hill Descent Control: Assists with maintaining a steady speed when descending steep grades.

• Rock Crawl Mode: A drive mode optimized for low-speed, high-torque off-road driving.

• Front and Rear Skid Plates: Protects the undercarriage from damage on rough terrain.

• Off-Road Tuned Suspension and Monotube Rear Shocks.

Shock and Suspension Differences.
The 4x4 comes with a standard suspension designed for general-purpose driving, including on-road and light off-road use.
In contrast, the FX4 includes an Off-Road Tuned Suspension and Monotube Rear Shocks.
These components are specifically engineered for better damping and control on rough terrain, offering improved stability and ride quality off-road.
The FX4’s suspension is likely to have higher ground clearance and stiffer settings compared to the standard 4x4

These features are not present in the standard 4x4, making the FX4 more suitable for rugged off-road environments.
