I have a 2023 xlt powerboost and both of the front usb ports have stopped working. They don’t charge and the data connection doesn’t work. The small lights around the ports are off as well. The usb ports inside the center console still work as do the two ports in the rear. Any ideas?? I’ve tried resetting the sync system but that didn’t work. Possibly a fuse issue?

Dealer fix likely. Front USB receives its power directly from the APIM. If it doesn't power, data won't work because data needs power. There's no fuse to replace.

I would at least check fuses 33, 125, 139 in the engine compartment as they are all labeled usb smart charger, but I also thought those were powered by the APIM.

Thanks for the help. I’ll check the fuses for the hell of it but if they’re all good I’ll head to the dealer.

Hey there. Can you send us a message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer so I can take a closer look at your USB concerns?

Just to close this out in case anyone else has this issue in the future - I did take it into the dealer and they found the "media hub" had failed. They replaced it under warranty. All good now.

I just had the same thing happen on my 2019 F150 Raptor. Ended up being the USB peice in the dash. I saw them do it the whole piece pops out and disconnect and they drop a new one in. Will be changed under warranty.
