I ordered this kit as was told by Fox that it was designed for the PowerBoost's extra weight and shipped with the 2" leveling height pre-set.

Did the passenger side installation today and will do the driver's side tomorrow. All went pretty well.

And of course, it was a major pain to gain access to the engine side top nut on the coil-over as has been discussed so many times. But thanks to others who have posted tips and techniques, I was able to accomplish the passenger side.

I also installed the BDS upper control arms and the SPC full chamber kit.

The passenger side went back together without any issues until I got to the sway bar link. The link bolt that attaches to the knuckle was about 2" higher than the attachment point. I move the link out of the way, installed the wheel/tire. Lowered the truck so the full weight was compressing the coil-over assembly. After some lunch, I raised the truck, removed the wheel and found the link to be about 1" higher than the knuckle attachment point. I'm going to let the truck's weight sit on the coil-over night; but doubt it will have any impact.

I called Fox and they assured me the units ship from Fox pre-set for 2".

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I have usually used a floor jack under the control arm while the vehicle is on jack stands to compress the spring when trying to get new suspension parts to line up. Keep pumping the jack until the parts line up and you can get the bolt in or it lifts off the stand.

I used a smaller floor jack to control the LCA during the installation.

I used this smaller, 2 ton floor jack under the LCA to try too compress the spring to allow for the sway bar link to get into position, but ended up just jacking up the truck. The spring did compress bout 1/2", but not nearly enough.

Thanks for the comment!

You will have to remove the other side, and put everything together. Then the ends of the sway bar should be even and should be able to be hooked up.

With the truck on the ground there will pressure from the hooked up stock side, and it will not move easily.

Thanks!

I got up in the middle of the night and had that very thought....the driver's side sway bar (I am doing that coilover today) is likely influencing the passenger side since they are no longer symmetrical...or whatever the proper term would be.

Spot on Mugsy!

Quick question...were you a "Flying Nightmare"? If not, please disregard the question.

Completed the driver side...took a glance at the passenger side...and about 1/2" below the attachment point...couple of stroke on the jack handle and sway link was perfectly lined up.

That would have been a nice thing to have noted in the instructions and all the videos I viewed before the job.

Why did you add new UCA’s and a full chamber kit ? What wheels and tires are you putting on that bad boy ?
