I have a 2023 KR 4x2 145WB Powerboost on order. The Forward Sensing System was very selectively available 2021, but I ‘thought’ returned with 360 Assist for 2022.
FSS is only in the 360 Active for 2023. Active only includes hands free Blue Cruise and FSS, Park Assist is not available.
Does the front camera become active when parking?
Who can’t live without FSS?
Who does not miss FSS?
I am not eager for hands free, so is Active worth it just for FSS?

Very rarely do I park front-in, but when I do I just hit the 360 camera button on the dash to keep an eye on the front bumper, however the camera only becomes available at speeds under 10km/hr, and no, it doesn't become active automatically when parking. The FSS will give you the warning beeps whereas using just the camera will not. I would like to have it but the FSS is not a game-changer in my opinion, and wasn't worth the bump up in price to add

my front camera will come on automatically as i pull into a spot front wise when i am about 1-2 feet from the object. or i can press the button and see it earlier if i am going slow
even when it shows RED and very close contact...i still have 6 or 8 inches of free space to contact

I did not follow with 22 KR owners: are they actually not included?

The Order Guide for 23 still says for Lariat that 502a does not get FSS with Assist, but 501a does. For 22 it was shown that 502a with the included Assist did get FSS (as well as 500a/501a with Assist).

Well not many comments. I do find the exclusion of Forward Sensing on higher trims concerning. I have not found a need to change my order to Active. About $2K gets Forward Sensors and eligibility for BlueCruise subscription (more money).
On my BMW the sensor graphics overlie the camera and sometimes makes the view too dark. To add insult, I have a sensor needs cleaning warning. Found a chipped sensor (rock) to replace- $600.

I did not get much response to this thread.
I picked up my 2023 King Ranch standard today.
-Big surprise!!
The Forward Sensing System was present.
I did not order 360 Active. I got 360 Assist as part of the standard package.
I did not notice the front bumper buttons at the dealer, so I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled into my garage and got appropriate sensor warnings, and the front camera engaged automatically.
Very pleased with the 2023 King Ranch

This is a nice surprise, I checked the order guide for KR and FSS should be part of Active, it specifically states that FSS is not included in Assist 2.0.

Yep. Nice surprise. I don’t know how the sensors got there, but I am not complaining ?
