In reading all of these gut wrenching posts, about not receiving an ordered truck, I've come to realize that this campaign has been one of the greatest and cruelest dupes of modern times. They knew all along the chip shortage was going to last well into and through 2023, yet pulled of this miserable stunt. I know this will never happen but it would be real nice if each and everyone of us victims could simply say, Hey Ford, "STICK IT"!

It seems GM is getting there shiet together.. my business partner ordered a 2023 AT4 in the end of august and it gets delivered in couple of days… all parts included , no chip holds or missing features. My 2023 got bumped a couple of times and missing features … lucky I found a 2022 in my spec that was available.

Impulse purchased a Platinum Powerboost from inventory when I only meant to purchase a fleet Powerboost for the company/employer.
After driving it for a few months I liked it far more than I expected and knew that a Powerboost would be a keeper if I had it exactly like I would order it.

So ordered the 3rd one November 12 2021
Built April 11 2022
Took delivery May 2 2022

Almost exactly 6 months and zero constraints other than Park Assist, which I didn't specifically spec. (part of a package that I did spec, obviously)

Truck has been basically flawless.
All 3 of them, as mentioned earlier, have been without a warranty issue of any kind.

Nov 2020 - Planned to buy a Platinum 702A with V8, Bluecruise, moonroof, and other options. My budget was $70K max using X-plan pricing
Nov 2020 - Joined Mustang Club of America to get X-Plan qualified
Dec 2020 - Saw a F-150 Platinum on the lot with most of the stuff I wanted except the color and it had a rusty differential. I decided not to make an offer on it...it wasn't calling my name. :poop:
Jan -June 2021 - Waited 6 months for the dealerships to hopefully entertain x-Plan for trucks again, but since the prices were going up too I started researching Lariats with options I wanted to bring the cost down. I adjusted my budget to $65K max. 2 can play that game.
July 2021 - Saw a truck on the lot I liked and offered to buy it for x-plan. Dealership didn't accept but said I could drop a $500 deposit and they would honor x-plan. I refused the dealership counter offer because I read so many posts that people were waiting for their truck to be built for at least 7 months. Dealership also told me that they would not give back my refund until the truck sold if I decided to buy a different truck off a lot.
Oct 2021 - With truck prices continuing to go up and no x-plan allowed without a years wait and having to put down a $500 deposit, I decided to lower my expectations once again and adjusted my budget to $60K for a truck I would like on the lot for MSRP (no higher)...after all the price of everything was going up except my income.
Oct 2021 - I bought the truck I have now for $1K under MSRP (Just under 60K). I'm very happy with my purchase even though it has cloth seats. In some ways it is spec'd out better than the truck I originally planned to buy in my opinion. I really love the cloth seats now. Truck has been trouble free.

What did I learn? I had to wait 11 months to get the truck I wanted at a cheaper price (like many here doing custom orders) and Ford got nothing until they built one and put it on a lot for me to drive. I think the choice I made kept me saner. By the time I bought my F-150 I had already started seriously looking at RAM too. A truck with a flat floor was always one of the most important features. Ford almost lost me

Victim? People didn't get vehicle delivered as fast as they would like them to be, and for which Ford never made any delivery date promises. What are you a victim of? (I may have missed a post in a different thread outlining a bigger issue that you've had.)

I can't speak for anybody else's dealer experience, but when I ordered, my dealer explicitly said that it could take 6 months or more for the order to be delivered, and that they couldn't promise any timeframe at all. I knew going into it that it was open-ended, but that I could walk away at any time. If others had different experiences with unrealistic promises made (explicit or implied), that's really an issue with the dealer, not with Ford.

I'm not trying to be a jerk here and start some internet fight; I'm truly trying to understand your point. As far as I know, you have every right to walk away and tell Ford to "stick it!" Why wouldn't you be able to do that?

Ditto with my dealership experience. They told me ~6-10mo. as an approximate time frame when I ordered and here I am at month 9 and the truck was just built. They also didn't take a deposit so I'm not really out anything. I could refuse delivery of the truck or just ghost them and they'd be stuck with my custom (perfectly ;)) spec'd truck to sell, but I don't plan on doing that. I have certainly shopped around on dealer lots including other brands, but I haven't found anything that I would be as happy with compared with my order.

Same. Dealer told me up front it could be 6 months +.

Ordered Jan 15, 2022, VIN received Feb 3rd and picked up the truck May 18, 2022.

So I was ahead of schedule.

Maybe cause mine was just a 302a non PowerBoost?
