FordPass... still haven’t received the 40k

Hi all.

Activated the App within 60 days of taking delivery and I still haven’t received the 40k points... been 3 months now.. anyone else in the same boat?

I would contact your dealer. Mine took around 2 weeks I think.

Had to contact Ford customer service and get a case number. Then I had to wait another 30 days to call them back with case number if points weren’t there yet (which they weren’t). Finally, within 48 hours of the second call my points showed up as a purchase adjustment credit.

I had already activated a ford pass account, and my truck purchase was successfully linked with the email address I had given the dealership for something. Took roughly 3 days to get my points.

You’ll want to get the app on your phone and setup an account, it lets you do stuff like remotely lock/unlock your doors, start the engine (Even if you didn’t opt for the remote start that’s on the key fob) and can see tire pressure, fuel level, oil life, etc.

And UGADawg96 pretty much summed up the rest of the benefits. Most people use their points from the purchase on the first few oil changes or some accessories like floor mats etc. you’ll get 42k points for the purchase which is worth somewhere around $200-$250 equivalent cash value I believe.

Another nice feature is the fact that the map shows exactly where the vehicle is setting. You know where its at if someone else is driving it...or you park in a huge parking lot and can't remember exactly where you parked. Lots of cool features with the FordPass app. Well worth installing on your phone.

So I did a basic setup of my FordPass account a few months ago. I think it was maybe sometime in April or May. I call it a basic setup because there isn't a whole lot you can do until you actually have your vehicle. I put the app on my phone but setup the account online. My truck arrived at the dealer on June 17 and was delivered to me on July 16. On Wednesday July 21 around 11:50 in the evening, I finished setting up everything with the app on my phone and activated the app in the truck. I just checked my email and showed I got a message at 11:55pm (although I didn't check it until around 2:30 this am) stating my FordPass Connect has been activated. I immediately went to my account online to see if by some small chance my points were in my account and much to my surprise they were there. I'm thinking maybe because the dealership had loaded into the system when my truck arrived and my setting up everything in advance is why my purchase points were loaded onto my account in 2 1/2 hours or less but who knows? I'm just happy they came so fast, I was certainly expecting a 3 day to 3+ month wait. Lucky me!

Here’s an update

The selling dealer automatically redeemed the points in my behalf approximately after 1.5 months after taking delivery. According to head office representative, it is the dealer that gives the points to you.

Going into the deal, Google and a few others have warned me about this particular dealer and it’s grey / shady tactics but out of all the dealers I’ve engaged in starting a deal with, they had the most aggressive pricing. I recall that them throwing in 2 oil changes was a courtesy to the deal.... never knew that meant redemption of the Ford points....

Going back and forth with them is pointless. I do have 2 oil change credits so either way I didn’t lose too much.

42000 points cash value conversion for Ford accessories is about $250 said Xtramann.? That’s disappointing after a very expensive purchase. Guess it’s better than nothing.
