So I tried unhooking waiting a minute then reattaching. Didn't work. Now I do have a powerboost and did this after driving to work. While the battery was unhooked I opened the door and the info screens lit up so it obviously still was getting power from the Li battery. Maybe I should let it sit and try again hoping that battery drains more.
Lucky you! Still no luck here. There hasn't been an update to Fordpass I know that.
mine is not powerboost so when I unhooked battery everything was dead. if you still have power that is probably why it didn’t reset. Just my guess.
Unhooking the "regular" battery will not do anything. I am not sure I want to try to venture into trying to figure out how to unhook the LI battery as well. I now have a check engine light, probably from messing around with the battery.
Nice. No luck here. Just talked to Ford again, still ensuring me that an update is coming. I specifically asked if it was an OTA? She said yes. I then asked, how am I suppose to get the OTA if I have no connectivity? She ensured me that I would still get it. I don't believe you.

Well it randomly started working today. No evidence of an OTA. I did turn off auto OTA like in other threads suggested but that was a while ago and perhaps turning it on at the beginning of the month is what froze the TCU? I agree! Not important as to what was done; rather, for now, it is working!!!! I am still learning all that can be done with Alexa and other connectivity features. Yesterday I found the RADAR map on the NAV screen very useful, as I am a weather nut!
