Happy to hear of the release of the FP tune for a 2.7 Eco. Yes I have to agree the price definitely should be lower.

This is fantastic. I spoke with a Ford Performance rep last week, claimed that ford wouldn't be putting out a 2.7 tune because they don't sell many 2.7 trucks LMFAO!
Basically laughed and hung up the phone.

That’s not a whole lot for that ridiculous price. The numbers compare with 5 Stars 87 octane tune.

If I had a 21/22 then I'd already be tuned by MPT/5*/Gearhead tuning etc etc. But for those who have a 23 2.7 this is the cheapest option, and the only option unless you want to spend the extra $$$ for swapping the PCM. From one perspective it's really not that bad considering what had to be spent on parts/labour to wake up an old pushrod 302.

This is honestly terrible. The freaking JB4 piggyback tune provides more than this. ...and $825 yikes.

Needs premium fuel too... so, for me an extra 1000/yr. Hard to justify for a small gain.

It is great that Ford came up with this tune. But I do agree that it is worth it if you’re willing to pay the higher cost of 91 octane. Looks like .70 cents more a gallon. Extra power and better throttle response is nice. Guess we should have gotten the 3.5.

No, I'm totally happy with the 2.7. I drive in either tow/haul or sport most of the time and normal on the hwy. If I was towing a heavy load, I'd put premium in it but not for daily driving.

You drive in Sport most of the time. I put it in Sport a few times. Feels strong in sport. How many miles have you done that for? No extra strain on the motor or anything? I imagine it perfectly fine to keep it on sport all the time.Just asking.

No problem, in fact I think it is less strain on the drive train since it isn't constantly lugging the engine at 12-1500 rpm. It's just way more comfortable for me and the way I drive.
