Ford Performance Supercharger Pump Location

To make a long story short, the dealer that installed the Ford Performance kit first installed a Roush kit due to ineptitude. They said they’d make it right, and installed the FP kit. They had to replace parts they modified, but didn’t give me a complete list.

Is this the right location for the low temp coolant pump? It’s just hanging there and I can’t unsee it. It makes me worry there’s more hidden that isn’t right.

Yes that is the correct location. I just had a Gen 6 Stg 1 Whipple installed 2 months ago back in December and mines is in the exact location. You’ll start to get use to seeing it there. Trust me I was the same exact way when I noticed it every time I go to wash my truck. Now it’s like I don’t even notice it at all.

The 2024+ kits have changed. A fellow member here pointed out Whipple changed how the IC pump is mounted. According to the newer kits/instructions it shows the pump is mounted on top of a metal plate and the metal plate is attached to the bottom of the frame rail. This moves the pump up and out of harms way and eye sight. I emailed Whipple support to see if the IC pump relocation parts are available separately. Here is their response...

"The pump bracket retails for $45, the nut plate that slides into the frame to mount the bracket retails for $15, and you can either modify the hoses you have and shorten them for the new pump location or you can purchase the 2 new hoses for $45 each. And you will just re use your pump clamp and intercooler pump."

Thanks for the info! But for $150 just to relocate the IC Pump, no thanks. ?‍ I’ll keep it where it is. ?

lol, yeah. Nice of them to offer the parts, but you’d think there would be a discount for current owners to upgrade as a package.
