Last year Ford Performance made some changes to their leveling kit that I never quite noticed.
Yesterday I got the new kit and when I went to put the rear shocks on I noticed they changed the design.
Are the rear shocks still the Bilstein 5160 shocks? The kit I’ve always seen had the reservoir that was connected via hose and a mount was used on the body to hold them together. Now it’s welded onto the body.
I also noticed they used to have red bump stops but now the standard yellow ones, but that’s just more an observation than gripe.
lastly, is this kit only 2” level and no other option? I’ve seen some people talk about changing to 2.5” but I wasn’t sure if these actually were adjustable like the 6112s are. I know there’s no lower than 2”.
Top photo is the original kit and bottom is what I received.
