I got that one on Mar-28th, Not sure how they can update it though if they can't communicate with the truck.
I'm not sure that they can't communicate with my truck. It's my Ford Pass that's not communicating. I don't think I'm getting what you're saying.

I of course am not a Ford engineer so I don't know exactly how it works but if Ford pass can't talk to the truck via the cloud then it also stands to reason that their cloud service also can't connect to the truck.

Just from my own personal experience I had no updates and no ford pass since Mid-Feb. After that 4th overnight unplug of the TCU within 15 minutes I was updated to 4.2.1 and FordPass was now working. YMMV

Gotcha. I do think my mileage is varying! :) . I have 4.2.1 and no worky.

I'm going to try and do the TCU thing tonight. If I can find it....behind the rear passenger seat? I guess I'm to lower the seat, where the jack stuff is, and look around for it?

Just unplug the big connector closest to the rear passenger door.

Thanks for posting this.

I used the pics to locate and pull the plug, and will leave it disconnected until tomorrow AM.

For the very unmechanically inclined, like myself, here's some more advice.....

1) The fabric cover needs to be pulled down to expose the box where the connectors are located.
2) The fabris is sort of tucked in on the left edge (towards the rear passenger door), but comes out easy enough.
3) There's a round plastic push pin that's holding the fabric in place as well. If you look in the pic of the fabric with the red circles above, it's the round thing at about 9:30/10 on a clock. The face is about as large as a half dollar or so. This little dude is in there, and put up a good fight. I was a little worried about ripping the fabric, or breaking the pin, but just go slow and sort of work it back and forth.
4) As stated above, its the connector that's closest to the rear passenger door (its not the one thats already unplugged in the pic) that you want to disconnect. In the center of the connector, there's a little tab that needs to be pushed towards the connector so that you can pull it out.
5) Given how much of a pain this was to expose....not really.....but I'm not too keen on risking ripping this fabric or breaking the push pin on a month old truck....I think I might have removed the negative terminal from the battery instead. I've read some other posts that removing this terminal for like 15/30min does the trick too, but you might risk losing some saved settings (like My View on the dash). But then your back in business and only messed with mechanical stuff...like a nut and bolt. Now I get to wait overnight, worry all night about whether stuff will go back into place like its supposed to, and then maybe it will make my Ford Pass work, or maybe it won't.

Either way, WTF Ford.
