You saw the post on BlueOval, same features.By being among the first to start stripping features, and selling less units overall. And they're doing a bit better, but not much.
Take a look at what Ford removed from the 21-22 year model. I am pissed that they stopped including the Trailer Yaw Control kit (for Pro Backup Assist) with the Trailer Tow Package! That would have been a $750 add were it not for a great dealership. And they want to take massaging seats away on the King Ranch?
I have owned Ford models since 1984. The current company is relying on a reputation built on history. This 2022 KR that I have now is constructed with cheap materials designed to look nice. The panels will flex with lightest of touch. I am afraid to park it under a tree because an acorn might leave a dent. Interior parts that used to be fabric are now a textured plastic (A pillars) that scratch easily. And the fabric for the headliner looks like it belongs in a cheap import sedan.
I ordered a KR 6.5 foot bed 2/1022. I am certain I will not see it this year. And at this point, I am not sure I want it after they force me to delete all the features I want. So "doing a bit better", I just don't see it.
