2022 Ford F-150 Platinum PowerBoost BAP
Hi everyone, I was headed in for my oil change and service at Ford in Western Canada and the deaer called and said that Ford suffered a cyber security attack yesterday and they are fully shut down. Dealer network? Ford Canada? Ford Global?

Curious if anyone has heard anything he said they just found out this morning but it happened 2 days ago.

Looks like it was CDK global that does all the dealership. Can delete if this is too alarmist!

What does CDK Global do?
One of the leading providers of cloud-based software to dealerships in the country, CDK's software helps dealerships manage vehicle acquisitions, sales, financing, insuring, repairs and maintenance. The company's website says it offers a “three-tiered cybersecurity strategy to prevent, protect and respond to cyberattacks.”

I was unable to schedule appt at my US dealer yesterday, called today and the problem still exists. Today I see a news article below.

Also today I called Ford customer service and they had no details and said they didn't know anything about the issue. Not very reassuring that Ford customer service has not been informed about an issue affecting their dealers.

It is worth questioning whether the data our trucks share via modem is going to CDK or if CDK has direct access to the truck via cellular?
