What is the part number for what I assume is the Expedition knob you picture here with the blank button between the +/_ buttons? Has it been tested? What year Expedition? I ask because when I run this number NL1Z7P155C, it has the button on the center for traction drive.I have both an expedition knob and escape versions. Just waiting on my trim piece to get made for the expedition version with +/- on it!![]()

Thats just the turn button in post 1. I believe you posted this number NL1Z7P155C as the one with the working +/- buttons, but when I run that number I get the one with active traction button in the center.First post:

I don't have a work surface, but can confirm it will work., it sits lower than the factory shifter does when folded. Can someone confirm that the work surface console lid will lay flat with this mod installed? That's why I would consider it - to have the work surface tray open while driving on long trips.
I highly doubt it since that switch has nothing to do with the 4x4 system that’s a different switch assembly or I guess button assembly lolDo I need to be concerned about this switch nl1z7p155b because I do not have 4 WD? I was looking at the listing and it states 4WD?
I've seen a couple of posts of the OEM shifter failing. What actually happens?
The one that failed, was a used part?So my shifter failed this weekend on vacation... In an underground parking lot and what a nightmare. Luckily there was a Ford dealer open on a Saturday afternoon and I was able to get someone to drive it out to the Alberta mountains for $200. The "D" light started blinking and then it basically failed. No warning sign or anything. I drove it home with the new shifter on top of the console due to lack of tools to take dash apart.
I'm going to order the Expedition shifter (without the drive mode button) today and hopefully Ajzride will be willing to print me the required part and ship to Alberta Canada![]()
Nope, it was the original part with around 50k miles on it. To be fair the new replacement part seems to have almost no play it it, and the motor sounds different. But I’m still wanting to get rid of it for a dial shifter. The one that failed, was a used part?
