Can someone tell me what material the tuxmats are made of? Every image I see they look like cloth or line a vinyl, and then really thick almost like a small pillow.

I live in snow for over half the year, so I get a lot of snow in my truck that then melts in my warm garage, how to these handle a large amount of snow?

My truck came with the stock mats and the Ford rubber weather tech style, they are nice enough but the tuxmats coverage looks amazing.

From their buried FAQ:

TuxMat said:
TuxMat is made of a three-layer combination material. The top layer is highly durable Vinyl made to match the look of your car's interior, it is 100% waterproof. The middle layer is made with EVA, it is the material that makes the vertical dimension of TuxMat possible, it is also soft enough for the comfort of our driving. The bottom layer is sound proofing, anti-skid cloth, which also protects your vehicle's carpet from wear and tear over time.
So the top vinyl layer is definitely more like "rubber" than slick plastic, and the EVA foam gives it that thickness a weight.

I've seen reviews from snow users that they're great. They are Canadian, too, so have to imagine they design around their home.

I was going to go a bit cheap but went with these and was beyond impressed. If they fit weird and the material was plasticy and they had no heft I would have returned them.

Oh and you get TuxMat Timmy!

I had WeatherTech in my wife's BMW and they were a great first experience. Had the factory heavy duty rubber mats front and back in my '13 Raptor and they were great. Later on I bought a rear seat cover from WT because the whole "Made in USA" thing and they love their dogs. I felt I couldn't go wrong... When the overpriced seat cover showed up I was less than impressed. it was very "universal" in it's fit and I disliked it so much I only used it once. I have large dogs and the thin elastic holding it to the head rests would have snapped with little effort.

When I got my '22 PB I came right to this thread and that's where I found out about TuxMat. I went back and forth over all the options and even considered WeatherTech again but I knew their mats would be a harder plastic feel. I bought a pretty truck and I wanted it to stay looking pretty. I went with TuxMat and am extremely happy with the purchase. They were a couple bucks extra but the coverage is superior and the fit and finish (once settled in) is perfect. They look excellent and the quality is top notch. The clips were kind of a pain in the butt to figure the best place to put them but once the mats settled, the clips are barely even necessary. I would not hesitate to go with TuxMat again.

I bought Tuxmats. I haven't received my truck yet, but my friend put them in his. The coverage is excellent. I believe the best coverage you can get. They feel great. They are very luxurious looking. I rate them King of all floor mats. Weathertech used to be the de facto King, but like Blackberry they aren't squat any longer. I'm sick of Weathertech. They look ugly quickly and the edges severely curl inwards. I haven't seen it heard anything that makes me think their new HPs are any better. I can't say how long the Tuxmats will stay looking nice, but I'm of the opinion floor mats wear out and should be replaced every 2-3 years.

I've had the TuxMats for over a month now. Really love the look. My truck is more of a daily driver than a work truck and prefer the more refined look of the TuxMats versus Husky or Weather Tech. I have also placed the Platinum carpeted mats over them. I think it looks great. They dry fairly quickly and vacuum easily, nothing gets stuck. They also feel a bit more slick while still having some texture and don't appear to capture dirt/debris the way some of the softer mats do. Cleanup is easy with a quick wipe of a damp cloth. I did end up using the velcro clips in a few places to ensure they never move given I have kids jumping in an out all the time.

I like the idea of a carpet insert. Carpet looks and feels better than any floor mat. When I get my truck I think I'll give your idea a try over my Tuxmats.

I also just like the feel of a nice carpet mat. I think I may give these a try if I want/need something different.

Those Tuxmats do look nice though and my cats would love the Timmy. :)

I have Lyoyds in my Fiero. Very nicely made. The Fiero is a different beast than the F150...at least for me. I want the waterproof protection of the plastic rubber floor covers, but the feel of carpet. There are mats out there that do this, but you're dealing directly with China. No way. Weathertech, Tuxmats, Husky, etc. should all offer a carpet insert. The best of both worlds.

Call me old fashioned but I love the factory "rubber" mats that most manufacturers offer as the all weather option, coverage could be better around the pedals but I'm sure that's a lawyers addition to the product. I had the Weathertech on a previous car, hated the plasticky feel, I would have optioned a vinyl floor over that. Huskey weather beaters in a few of my work trucks, they seemed better then Weathertech.

TuxMats finally back in stock after being sold out for a couple months. I just picked up a set with rear seat fold out storage. I was going to pull the trigger on a set of Husky's- they were actually marked down to $140 (from $170) on Amazon for weeks....I waited too long because when I went back to purchase- they are now $240 (both on Amazon and Husky site)!

Really wanted to buy American made if possible (TuxMat is a Canadian company but the mats are made in China)- but the set for the F150 is $40 cheaper ($199) -and I think these have the best coverage- especially for rear seat door sills:

Just ordered the Tux mat after they came back in stock. Just be aware there are 20% off codes floating around. ;)
